I have received the Plow & Hearth catalog for years, but recently being surprised by a racoon ravaging in our backyard pond, we went online to try and find an electronic solution so we wouldn't have to cover up our Koi with ugly netting.

Imagine my surprise when the solution was Plow & Hearth. You can find them @ www.plowhearth.com. After all, we had their bi-monthly catalog sitting around the house somewhere. They even had a customer service email link to ask questions before & after ordering. This is a company based in Virginia, about as far away from the West Coast (we're in Oregon) as you can get, but their helpful customer service folks really pointed us in the right direction. (And they work 7 days a week!) We received our battery-operated motion-sensor noise alarm (with a special setting for racoons, no less) quickly, and it has worked efficiently. That is to say, we still have 9 Koi left swimming in our backyard pond. Our children can hear it, but I can't, must have been too much rock & roll in the 70's!

Their website is very user-friendly, includes their 800#, gift suggestion links, plus all the usual bells & whistles, including signing up for their catalog (I highly recommend it)...great for Christmas gifts. They even have downloadable screen savers & recipes!

It's a great site to visit, very well laid out, and their customer service is top-notch. You won't go wrong adding them to your list of favorites.....
