I have only used petfooddirect once, and then as a last resort because it was the only place I could find what I was looking for. I learned about them because I had signed up for their email letters about cats back when one of my "old girls" had been sick. Their emails have a great amount of information for cat owners - and I am sure the dog letters are equally informative. The site itself is great, with many features other than the items for sale.

As for the items for sale, I will have to admit they have one of the largest selections I have seen, and they usually seem to be running some promotion or another that gives you a discount on your purchases. The prices were good: not the best but not the worst, and overall cheaper than the stores in our area. They also have clearance items and sales regularly. The only drawback was the cost of shipping. My purchase came to $13.25, after taking off $5.31 for items on sale and a 20% off promotion. The shipping was $8.49 - the highest I've paid for any online pet purchase.
