I placed two orders at Pet Mountain. The first went smoothly, with minor damage to one item that I didn't bother reporting. On the second, Pet Mountain was advertising a 10% discount on Google. However, when I submitted my order, only a 5% discount was available. I still submitted my order (I needed the items and it was past COB), but followed up with an email requesting the advertised 10% discount. I also took a screenshot to prove it had been advertised. The next day I received an email response from Pet Mountain customer support, saying that they were only offering a 5% discount. I checked, and they had taken down the Google ad offering 10%. The email response completely ignored the fact that they had advertised a discount of 10%-- didn't even deal with the issue. If customer service had at least been honest and said something like, "We forgot to take down that ad" or "The ad was in error", I could at least understand. To respond by silently pulling the ad and ignoring my request was completely dishonest. I followed up by email twice after that, but both emails were ignored. I will not deal with Pet Mountain again, although their prices are generally decent. I would prefer to deal with a reputable dealer that does not lie about the existence of an offer and then ignore me.
