I had a horrible experience with Personal Creations Online Store, and I will not trust them with an order again. Check the Better Business Bureau website about this company, too before you order from them. I did after all of this happened and am still contemplating placing a formal complaint with them!
Let me begin by saying, that I am not a confrontational person, and I typically am very easy to deal with, but this company pushed me to my breaking point. Also, I wish I had read a review like this before I ordered from them. I placed an order for a UGA doorknocker on December 2. You can find the same item on other websites that claim that it can be shipped the same day you order it. There was no personalization on it, as far as a name or anything. I will say that it does say on the website that it can take up to four weeks for delivery. I understood that when I ordered and knew that it might not make it to me by Christmas, but I was hoping that that was the most time it would take, and that it would make it by Christmas (or at least by New Year's-- which was in the four week time frame-- since I would see my sister then). I checked my order status on December 15 and saw that my order had been shipped on December 8. I was happy, but a little concerned that I hadn't yet received it. I decided not to be impatient; after all, it was the holiday season. When December 18th rolled around, I called the company. The representative told me that the person who dealt with outside vendors was not there and he/she would call me the next day. When I didn't receive a call by 7:00 p.m., I called them back. This time, the girl told me that she went and asked the person in charge of vendors about the problem and she said they had contacted the vendor, who was in North Carolina (a state close to mine), and that due to the proximity, I should receive the order in the next few days. She said that it had a "bad tracking number", something I have never heard of before. However, I was happy and assumed my product was on the way. In the meantime, I received my credit card statement, showing that my credit card had been billed the 60 bucks on December 8. When my product still had not arrived by December 23, I called again. (My third call) This time the representative told me that the only thing my account said was that the vendor had been contacted. She had no information on when my product would ship or if it had actually shipped, and she simply couldn't help me. I asked if there was any way to track their packages or know what had happened to my product that had already been paid for, and she said that the company had no way of gaining such information. I told her I didn't understand how everything I order online gives me a way to track it so that I know it's on its way, but she said they just simply couldn't track things from third party vendors. In addition, they told me that if I hadn't called, they would never have known that I didn't receive my product-- not necessarily a big deal, except that I had already been billed for it! I found all of the customer service representatives very unhelpful with my problem-- I had been charged for an item that I hadn't received. Also, it appeared that there was no way to track a package that came from a third party vendor. Finally, when I still hadn't received the package (or any word from the company), I called AGAIN on January 5. This time, the unhelpful, somewhat rude, and definitely unsympathetic to my problem representative gave me the same line-- the vendor had been contacted, and that was all she knew. She told me that "Personalized products took a while to get out, and the website said that it could take up to four weeks." I pointed out to her that I had already paid for the product, and that her not having any information on if I was EVER going to recieve it was absolutely unacceptable--not to mention that it had already been four weeks! When I asked to speak to a manager, she said that she didn't know if one was in, but she would check. Luckily, I got in touch with a manager who actually listened to my problem. She told me she would check and call me back-- and for the first time, someone actually did call me back. She gave me a FedEx tracking number, and sure enough, I received my doorknocker on December 7. Here's the kicker-- the packing slip shows the order date as December 30. That means that nobody from the company talked to them about my product until December 30. So, if they had actually gotten in touch with them when I called on December 18, I could have had my sister's Christmas present before Christmas, and gotten what I had already paid for when I wanted it. I contemplated sending it back, but I simply don't trust them to refund my money, despite the fact that they said they would. Reasons I will not order from them again-- rude and unhelpful customer service representatives, their inability to track their packages (their words-- not mine), and the fact that they charged for an item that hadn't shipped. By the way, it was longer than four weeks from when I ordered that I received my package. So, you can't trust their delivery times either. If you want to order from this company, have enough money that you don't care if you ever get the thing of not, and order at least six months in advance, so that you'll be sure to get it... if they ever ship it in the first place.
