On Monday, November 14th, my wife ordered two Piddle Pads (anti-urine pads for strollers and car seats) and a Cushie travel potty seat through Perfectly Safe. Before we placed our order, we attempted to research this company through Epinions, as well as through www.resellerratings.com, but only found the two reviews at Epinions, one of which was overwhelmingly unfavorable. However, according to our price comparisons, Perfectly Safe not only offered competitive prices, but also had both items in stock. We took a chance and placed the order. It arrived four days later…from Canton, Ohio!

Ordering
To begin, Perfectly Safe’s website is a no-frills, barebones site that looks like HTML did four or five years ago, though there is a nifty graphic of a house floorplan on the Home page. Click any “room” on the floorplan and you will be taken to items that would most likely be used in that room. For example, if you are looking for kitchen safety items, click the “Kitchen” room, and you will be directed to the items pertinent to kitchen safety.

Perfectly Safe has a straightforward ordering system. Simply go to www.perfectlysafe.com and add items you wish to purchase to the cart. Then, enter your name, address, and other shipping-related information. Orders can also be placed by phone and fax. Their sales support is available only from 9 am to 5 pm, Eastern Standard Time, so phone orders are restricted to those times, but fax ordering is 24 hours. Honestly, I cannot vouch for phone or fax ordering, but I can say that Internet ordering was expedient and secure.

Payment and Shipping
According to the website, Perfectly Safe accepts Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard, and your credit card will be charged in full when your order is processed. Money orders and checks are not accepted. My wife and I used our Visa debit card, which was just fine.

Perfectly Safe’s standard shipping charges for the continental U.S. and Canada are $0.75 per pound plus $4.95 packaging & handling charge. Rush shipping is also available, but only if you call their catalog ordering number. Shipping is by United States Postal Service, which actually spared my wife and me of the hassle that often results from the UPS guy delivering our order to the wrong apartment.

Delivery
The website states that shipping occurs from 5 to 10 days after placement of order; despite this, we got our order FOUR days after the order was placed, which was extremely fast. That’s delivering from Canton, Ohio to California! I reasoned that they must have a local supplier that was able to ship directly to us. Needless to say, we were impressed!

Customer Service
In my opinion, the best customer service is the service you do not have to use. Having said that, I can say that if serving the customer entails getting the order out as quickly as possible, Perfectly Safe demonstrated excellent customer service. The website also has a very straightforward FAQ (frequently asked questions) section, which answered our questions.

Overall Satisfaction
If all websites were are fast as Perfectly Safe in getting orders out, the world would be a better place. The website construction, ordering, and payment are simple and direct. The selection of child-proofing and home safety items is extensive and commendable; one indicator of this is that Perfectly Safe was the only website my wife and I found that sold both the Piddle Pad and the Cushie travel potty seat. Therefore, based on our experiences with Perfectly Safe, we recommend it without reservation.
