Full review
I recently purchased a couple cotton shirts from Paul Fredrick. Frankly, the quality of the shirts is very disappointing. The fit is good but the material is not. The material the website advertises as "lustrous Imperial 100's two-ply cotton broadcloth" is actually a very cheap ordinary Chinese textile. It is the same poor quality fabric I find in run-of-the-mill Calvin Klein men's shirts and the like. It's impossible to rid of wrinkles and the material hangs and feels like plastic. If there was no label, I would have never guessed this material is cotton. It is not soft, it doesn't feel nice on my skin, it doesn't billow, it has no life.
I normally order my shirts from a local tailor. My tailor offers a wide variety of nice quality all cotton shirts in oxford, broadcloth, twill, etc. for 45-75 dollars. This includes having the shirts fitted. On this particular occasion I was being very picky about the color and style and my tailor didn't have exactly what I wanted. Even the cheapest shirt available from my tailor is finer quality cotton than Paul Fredrick's material.
For comparison, the Paul Frederick shirts were 2 for 79 dollars plus shipping.
To be fair and complete: Paul Fredrick filled and shipped my order very quickly. Also, their shipping rates were reasonable.
