Never again......

I placed an order and paid extra for express shipping. There was no indication the item was back ordered - my confirmation email said "ships now". I called today and come to find out they don't have the item and don't expect to have it for three more weeks. Sheesh! Have they never heard of using the phrase "out of stock" or "backordered"?

After 5 weeks, they still had not shipped my items, although their web site said they were in stock when I ordered them. And they charged by credit card at the time of the order! I called and canceled today - let's see if I actually get my money back

I ordered a collection of three interesting poppies (Manhattan, Harlem, and one other that I cannot recall), a ground cover collection, and creeping thyme (thymus serpyllum coccineus) and a reblooming daylily (Rainbow Candy) from Park Seed on April 3.

I will never, ever do business again with Park Seed. I have no idea what their products are like, because mine never made it to me. I was charged three times (once on one day and twice the next) for my order of six lantana. It took three phone calls

I would absolutely buy from them again! No hesitation.

I recently placed my first order for seeds online. So far, I have only planted the Salvia Flare with fantastic success. I needed 6 to 8 of the seeds to be successful. I planted 18 seeds just to ensure that number. I planted on to a cell and ALL 18 have sprouted. I'm very happy with the seed quality and the timely delivery of the seeds that I ordered. I can't wait to plant the Magellan Coral zinnia and Janie marigolds I ordered from them as well. This was a great way to get the specific seeds I wanted with a low shipping fee. I would have spent far more on gas trying to track down these specific kinds of seeds.

Unorganized? Or deceptive?

My experience with this company is that I might as well have paid and then flipped a coin as to whether I would get what I ordered, or get anything at all. The first order, just a couple flowering bushes, arrived quickly and healthy, but were in much smaller containers and of smaller size than the description stated. (One said it was a gallon container, implying a more mature seedling, but what I got was a tiny plant in a 4-inch pot.) My next order was for several young trees. Three weeks passed and they didn't arrive. I called to be told they were being inspected but should arrive within two weeks. After about two weeks I called again, to be told they weren't sure why they hadn't been released, but should arrive within ANOTHER couple weeks. At this point I cancelled the order and bought the trees elsewhere.
Park Seed strikes me as either seriously unorganized, or downright deceptive. Either way, I won't go back. One good thing: the customer service rep was nice about cancelling my order, but I'm keeping my eye on the credit card account for the refund. |

NEVER TO RETURN!

I have been very satisfied with Park Seed until now. I purchased the "Fraidy Cat" yard planter and placed it outside for the very first time, not quite 30 days ago and the planter has begun to rust with signs of deterioration. I telephoned them and they tried to convince me that this planter belong indoors, albeit, I found a several descriptions of outdoor places to use it ON THEIR WEB SITE! . This item cost $75 plus shipping and handling. I feel "duped" because IF, it had READ "indoor" use ONLY, then I would feel at fault! Now, I am left with a piece of costly garbage to decorate my beautiful garden!

They do not inform customers that their stock is not under their control.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I responded to a web offer in May 2005 for several plants advertised as going fast. Expecting to have plants for my summer garden, I ordered several. First, I was told they would ship after June 15. Then I was told they would ship after August 15. Then after September 15. Now they are telling me that they may ship after October 1. Despite their boast that their greenhouses and fields are providing the plants, they rely on suppliers, who are apparently unreliable. They offer plants for sale that they don't have. I expect that they will mail me a postcard in a week telling me that the plants will never be coming. They've done that before as well. I should have learned that time.
Also, they don't answer e mails. I had to phone and speak with someone who just tells me that they rely on suppliers. The website doesn't make this clear at all. |

My order was received very fast. The products were satisfactory & well sealed for freshness.
Ordering was simple. Great variety of products. Only disappointment was the quantity of seed received for the cost. |
