PC Connection

I found what I wanted, and then when I went to buy, the site offered me a different color of the same product for $25 less.  Cool, but then, as I was watching for a shipping time estimate, there wasn't any.  I proceeded looking for some indication of when it would ship or if it was out of stock and there was no indication.

I went through with my order, then got an e-mail confirming they got my order, but I couldn't follow up with customer service until I got the permanent order number.  Two days later the permanent order number arrived and I checked on my order.  Sure enough, it was on back order.

I e-mailed them and asked when it was expected and they said 4-6 weeks!  I canceled my order.

In the time it took me to be disappointed and bothered enough to write a negative review, I could have had my camera from a reliable and transparent company and actually using it.

I should have listened to my gut when I didn't see the shipping estimated date.

The ipod was backordered and delayed twice. I was not notified of the backorder after the initial order unless I called in to check the status.

I ordered 2 items, one of which shipped properly. The other item was place on backorder. I called after 10 days to find out what the status of the order was. I was told that it would be received and shipped the following Friday. I called to confirm that it shipped 5 days later and was told that it was still on backorder and they couldn't give me a date for shipping. I cancelled the order because I can't wait for weeks at a time, without a definate date, for products to be shipped.

We had ordered for a digital camera($245) which was in stock whem we ordered online. Just after the order went through we could see the order status as Backordered and when contacted the customer support they confirmed this and replied that they have no idea when the order would be shipped .. might be 2 days to 3 weeks! After hanging for 3 days finally cancelled the order and got it from other place. Prices are good but i hope PC connection posts only those sales which they can honor , else just waste of time and effort.

Printer was completely non-functional on arrival. I don't believe this is PC Connection's fault. I think it is Lexmark's fault. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with Lexmark technical support. Not on hold, either. They had me essentially disassemble and reassemble the entire printer. After that, the only option they allowed me was to return it to PC Connection. They did not offer to come fix it. For a $1,000 printer, I expected much more from Lexmark. I called PC Connection and told them the story, and they issued me a refund without any hassle.

I ordered (2) cables - Paid for (2) cables and recieved only (1) cable. The shipping lable stated that there was (1) ordered & (1) SHIPPED. no mention OF A BACK ORDER OR THAT ANOTHER ITEM WAS SHIPPED TO ARRIVE LATER. dISA PPOINTED THAT THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN VERY FREQUENTLY WITHIN THE INDUSTRY.

When ordering, I asked if a LOGITECH V470 CORDLESS MOUSE, would work w/iMAC. Response was YES, but apparently these two pieces of equipment cannot communicate. Packing material for mouse has been discarded. Advise how I may return and get correct laser mouse.

No real big problems. I made a few contacts via email regarding questions about my anticipated purchase - the technical staff answered all of my questions except the one in my last email - maybe I had exhausted my quota of question-asking! I ended up making the purchase anyway. Order tracking is generally good but nothing seems to happen for days after Hodgkins, IL - not a big deal. All in all, I think that the merchant is excellent.
