Beware of Overstock.com return policies. They sell you an item  with dicount points. But if you return it. They figure on retail price. I bought an item and was given discount points. When I returned it they charged me the difference between discount price and retail price.
That to me is like going to Sears and buying something at 50% off, but when I return it I have to pay retail price. So I would have to pay more to return item. This is hard to explain becasue I have never had this happen before and just doesn't make any sense.

I ordered an evening gown and was following the order via their website. It was showing "Processing" for a week. I contacted the company via a "chat". The person on the other end couldn't answer my question as to why it was taking so long to process. She referred me to another department and told me someone would be getting in touch with me. I then received an email saying that my order would be shipped out in 1-4 business days. The next day, I received another email saying that my order had been cancelled due to an invetory error. I was and still am very disappointed!

I purchased an item that fell apart after one week.  Got busy and attempted to return it two months later.  That's when I learned they have a 30 day return policy, which is absurd in this day and age.  True customer "disservice".  I will never shop with them again.

The product was actually in good condition.The box was torn apart but the biggest problem was that it didn't work.My child was so excited and now the let down and not able to find anything local to buy.

The digital hybrid tuner (Sangean) that I purchased was somewhat of a "Blind-Purchase". The Operating features were NOT WELL PROVIDED by either OVERSTOCKED.COM or the Manufacturer's (Sangean) Website. Also, technical specifications were NOT PROVIDED. I, still, am very happy with the product performance. The Model# HDT1 PERFORMS as indicated by the OWNER'S MANUAL (included with the tuner).

Poor shipping to international destinations.  They ship items out of there warehouse in the stated 1-3 days.  But it's shipped to a "International Processing Center" resulting in delays of atleast a week.  So since it "shipped" they won't offer a refund on the shipping services that weren't met under the terms of service for delivery standards.  I ended up ordering the same items from Amazon.com for half the price and had it in two days.  All still while waiting for my original order from Overstock.

Best price anywhere on this product. Even Amazon couldn't beat it. It was in stock and UPS delivered it quickly. The product arrived in good condition and fits my needs completely. The site also had plenty of customer product reviews to help my selection. Good job Overstock.

ordered an electric grill and returned it because it did not have a thermostat. Reordered and got a Westinghouse which has four grilling temperatures. Your representative gave me free return shipping because I reordered. I appreciate it very much!

I placed a couple of orders through Overstock.com and I have had nothing but trouble. Trying to get something shipped to Canada is apparently too hard for the company to handle and dealing with customer care is useless. My first order of three items was shipped in three seperate packages, making tracking the items a complete headache. And, stupid me.. thinking everything would arrive as planned placed a second order of two items. It has been a month and I have only received 1 package out of five and the international customer care department has done NOTHING for me except tell me that if my items dont get delivered they will have to refund my money.The funny thing is, a work friend ordered almost the exact same order at the exact same time and had the exact same problems, so this is NOT just a one time problem. There is no point to ordering from this website if you are from Canada. No amount of money is worth the headache.

The Australian $ is currently $1.03 against the USD. However when billed by Overstock an item advertised by them at USD $347 is listed as AUD $404 + $100 shipping.  The company's name should be OVERPRICED. At parity USD $347 = AUD $347 don't buy a calculator off this retailer. With luck time will sort them out and off the web. An identical item for sale on Amazon at $163 can be found on OVERPRICED for the bargain price of $300 with shipping costs x4 times the price the item is unbuyable. This company makes a mockery of web selling and stands out as a rip off merchant where customer service is not even a passing thought.Their name suggests overruns and sellouts but the reverse seems closer to the truth. Furthermore they make their retail sellers look like incompetant sharks when I'm sure their not, BE WARNED.

    One of my orders was lost even though it was paid for. I finally received a new order, but it took some time.
    I recently ordered a bookbag for my son.  After three weeks it is a mess and unusable.  IHe usually keeps his bookbags from year to year. It was middle of the road in price so I thought it would last a little while.
    I have bought a few things that were okay products and have seen purchases made by others that were okay products, but I will not be ordering products I don't already know are good quality.

Ordered a small microphone for a colleague with a broken hand so he could use it with voice recognition software and continue to work.  Paid for 2 day shipping.  The next day, I get this email saying
"Unfortunately, before we can process your order we require further information. To protect your privacy, please contact us by phone rather than replying via email. You may reach us at 1-866-211-0729, Monday thru Thursday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM, Eastern Time, Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5 PM, Eastern Time, and Saturday thru Sunday between the hours of 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Eastern Time."

Now I'm on hold for a while.  Next, I'm told I'M trying to defraud THEM!!!  Not only did they not bother to process my order in a timely fashion, they told me "the money will be returned to you in 2-3 business days.  This is how we do business".

I'll never buy anything from this place again, and neither will anyone I know, if I have anything to say about it.  Total fraud, ripoff.  Shame on you.
