While the speaker system is great, I was very disappointed in Overstock for the following reasons:
1. Speakers were shipped in the original box with NO protective outer box.

2. Volume control and one of speakers are SCUFFED UP badly.
3. No owners manual was included.
4. OEM packing was missing, just used bubble wrap that clearly did not come with speakers.
5. My packing slip did not mention the 2 yr Replacement Plan I paid for.
Does 'REFURB' mean that Overstock buys used goods regardless of condition and then resales them stating said goods are 'refurbished?
In short I will never buy Refurbished products from Overstock again and most likely anything else. I guess the old saying: "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" clearly applies.

I sent an email to Overtstock- two days later, I get an automated reply stating my complaint would be forwarded to management- two days after that I still have yet to hear from them.  yadda yadda yadda

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

Don't by electronics from this company!  I have ordered two sets of telephones and both sets have quit working at the 3 month return date.  The first time I sent back the telephones and they were to credit me on my credit card for the return since I bought the replacements at the time of the complaint.  I had to fight for the credit 3 months later, and still do not know if the credit has been applied to my credit card.  The second set of telephones failed just after the 3 month period and I get nothing.  That is 4 telephones to fail in a 6 month period.  Not very dependable.

I took a chance on a "refurbished" product after speaking with an online chat rep. I wanted assurance that it was just an open box return, and she guaranteed that it would be "like new." Manual was missing pages, remote was obviously used and no serial # to report to mfg. for service report.

I agree!  Worst customer service ever.  One of the items they sent me came damaged...17 e-mails later I still don't have the information needed to return it.  Plus, they want me to pay for return shipping?!# This was my first experience with them. So they treat a first time customer who places a $1,000 order this way???

It has been over 10 days and I don't have the time to keep resolving it.  Needless to say the other order I made is going to be refused when it shows up.

One more thing.  I found a lot of the same items surfing the web for less on the site they were bough off of.  Talk about misrepresentation!

What a waste of my time and money!

I order paperbacks from Overstock.  Recently I received 2 audio books instead of the paperbacks I thought I was getting.  According to their return policy, audio books may be returned as long as they are unopened.  I am hearing impaired and need to exchange these books for the paperbacks.  I've tried to do this and can't get any response from the company beyond the initial canned email indicating they'd gotten my request for help.  Since then I have written numerous times without any response.

Do not trust the reviews provided on the Overstock website.  Overstock reserves the right to publish only the reviews that they deem acceptable.  Meaning:  They only publish positive reviews. 

I bought a defective mp3 player for our daughter for Christmas.  Returned to the store for a replacement, which was also defective.  I attempted to post a review on Overstock warning others of the poor quality of the product.  Not only did Overstock not post my review, but several days later I got an email from them RECOMMENDING the item that I reviewed so poorly.  I tried on three more occasions to review this item.  It has been 6 weeks and the review has not been published on Overstock.

I browse the site to crosscheck prices. I don't know where these other reviewers are shopping but the prices are definitely no bargain at Overstock.com. A tactic they use is to show an item way overpriced and put a sold out slash over it. Next to this item will be a similar one at a lesser price (but still no bargain). The ploy here is to lead the brain damaged shoppers to believe an even better bargain is still available. Better buy it quick they think, as they drool into the keyboard... Come on people do your home work and don't get ripped off. One last note... Make sure the retailer is reputable (again do your homework) and don't forget sales tax if applicable and shipping costs!
Anyone that thinks the prices are great at Overstock.com should have their bank accounts closed and credit cards revoked!

I've placed 3 orders at overstock, and all three have been screwed up.  I ordered 3 shower curtains, only 1 came.  I ordered a set of sheets, and one sheet in the package was the right size, and the other was wrong (in the same shrink wrapped package). And then on another order, I got an email saying the item was unavailable, then it showed up in the mail two days later.  Luckily I hadn't bought another one yet. So basically on overstock I'm 0/3 on simply placing an order and getting what I ordered.  Customer service was ok in fixing the problems, but it's a hassle.  Be wary.

I have no complaints with Overstock, persay, but I am disapointed with the quality of the products I bought. I just don't think I am going to buy any more linens online. Although, it would help immensely if Overstock would list the companies that things are made by. Then it would be easier to know if the items were from a reliable company or not.
