OUTLET NUTRITION may have been a legitimate business that operated ethically at one time, BUT they are having severe difficulties that result in extremely poor Service, NON-Delivery of ITEMS and virtually no Communication with their customers. Perhaps they are going out of business and have stopped responding to customer complaints!Please NOTE, as of May 23rd, 2009, the web site is shut down. Sadly, it appears that they deceived many people before that happened. I read where another women purchased over 300 dollars worth of products that she never received. Buyer Beware. I would like to encourage people to continue to follow appropriate channel to report the company to the government web site that INVESTIGATES fraud.
Interestingly, their web site is easy to navigate and appears legitimately professional. Perhaps this is part of the reason that I was pulled into what I perceive as a "black-hole" with no apparent escape. Honestly folks, I am NOT exaggerating the intensity of PAIN and FRUSTRATION that I feel since I have been attempting communication with OUTLET NUTRITION.My hurt and anger have motivated me to express my feelings. I am a bit idealistic and tend to see the GOOD in people and companies, UNTIL I am given a reason to change my perception
I would encourage YOU to visit their web site to see what I mean. TRY to call them and you will see that the mailbox is FULL and you will not be able to leave a message. Whatever YOU DO, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase from them. Tell your family and friends!
I initially placed my order for health "products" from this company on Janurary 30th. When I had not received the product by 2/10/2009, I attempted to call them, but found it difficult to speak with a "real" person. They have recorded messages saying they are experiencing "high call volume" and to leave a message, but as I mentioned, the mailbox is FULL.
I have emailed them many times and received notification that my ITEMS were "back-ordered" BUT would be shipped out as soon as they were received from the manufacturer. They do not have an organized way to inform their customers when items are NOT currently available. Vitamin Shoppe is a much more professional and legitimate company. Order from THEM if you need vitamins or health products. If you order from Outlet Nutrition, you may DIE before you receive the order!
When I had STILL not received products on 3/09/2009,(remember the items were ordered the end of January!) I emailed again and was told that the items were still back-ordered and that they simply had no control over this. Finally,after two months, they sent me 3 of the 22 items that I ordered. I was told that the OTHER items would SHIP as soon as they received them in their "warehouse"... On 3/27 when I emailed them again, I was informed the items were still back-ordered and they apologized for the delay.
I attempted to be very patient and tolerant with this company and expected them to deliver the products that I had ordered. Perhaps I was too kind and patient with them. After all, it is NOW the end of May and I still do not have a refund or my products! On 4/29/2009 I was informed via email that the items would ship out on May 12th. I THEN told them to refund my money to my pay-pal account and simply cancel the order. I felt fairly CERTAIN I would have been informed on May 12th that the items were STILL on back-order.
This company is impossible to reach via phone 866-846-6300. I have reported them to pay-pal and we are working on resolution. I did not know about the 45 day rule or I would have reported them sooner. That mistake will not happen to me again. I explained to a supervisor at Pay pal that I have ALL of the email communications with this company and it seems that I was manipulated into waiting for the back ordered items. Ironically, with each apologetic email, they also sent me a COUPON for five dollars off an order of 30 dollars or more.
Apparently Outlet Nutrition thinks that their customers are very stupid and that a mere COUPON will shut them up! I would have to be completely INSANE to purchase further products when I have NOT received my initial order from January 30 th. PLEASE. By the way, I lived thru hurricane Katrina on the Mississippi Gulf Coast (we were hit HARD!) and have learned many valuable lessons in my 46 years on the earth. In spite of everything, I am NOT a victim. I feel that I help co-create my experiences. I am therefore BAFFLED at WHY this has happened.
I do feel that this company must be EXPOSED for their practices. If I conducted business like this, I would be OUT of business very quickly. I do NOT feel that this company should be allowed to operated in this unethical and fraudulent manner. Please help expose them to the public so that other people do NOT become victims of their manipulations and LIES. Be proactive. Report them to the government website for Internet fraud.
