I ordered a panini press which did NOT say back-order when I placed the order. I promptly got an email saying it was back-ordered and it would ship in on week. A week and a half later, I called the company, and they said it was still back-ordered and it would ship in another week. A week later, I called back again and this time they told me it will ship next week. All they offered was a 15% coupon off my next order. As if I'll be ordering from them again. Customer service also ignored my email. I even asked for a discount (anything really) on this order since it was back-ordered so many times and they said no. I get it that back-orders are not necessarily their fault, but they didn't even tell me about the continued delays (only the first one). I had to call and inquire. It was supposed to be a wedding gift, so now I look bad.

The Popeil Family Story web site was easy to use. No problem finding, selecting and purchasing the product that we wanted. The appliance we purchased came with everything that was promised. Our item was packed well and arrived in perfet condition.

The item I ordered was not pictured on the site, but was the only "kneading blade" for a pasta maker (picture small, but looked like mine). It arrived and looked like a large screw, nothing like the original. When I called, no one knew what it looked like or anything about it. I was given another number to call and that person gave me a third number to call. I gave up. They said I could return it, but I wanted to try it first since another part was not available.
I was disappointed that there was no picture and that "customer service" seemed to prefer to pass me on than help me. I do not plan to shop their again.

I placed my order on 03/13/2008. I did not get the original confirmation number so i called and they finally sent it. I then waited one week. I found that UPS had lost my package. No problem, I understand these things happen. They said that three business days later they would resend my item and call me back. They did neither. I called back the following day and once again, they said my order would ship again tomorrow. I called back a day later to see if it had shipped, and they said the lady that ships my package would not be in until next week. Screw that, I am canceling my order. I hope I get my money back, if not I will have to file a dispute with the credit card company. Very disgruntled with this store.

I ordered my product on 12/29/07 I was having a dinner party on the 01/16/08 and I thought I had enough time to receive this product. I also purchased 2 day delivery to make sure I had it in time. When the product didn't arrive I called customer service and the woman I spoke with said that the merchant close the warehouse for 2 weeks and I should be receiving it after the 01/07/08. The week of 01/07/08 I still haven't received it I got credit for the 2 day shipping fee and after 01/16/08 I called again to see what the delay was and she said that this was on back order. I cancelled my order I a so displease with this company when I purchase it in the beginning I was never told that the warehouse was on vacation I was told that I was going to receive this within 2 days I ended up with the Forman Rotisserie and I'm very happy with it.

I was charged over $66.00 by the shipper on my visa for shipping charges. When the merchandise arrived at my house by U.P.S. I was told I had to pay another $39.00 for freight or the order would not be delivered. I do not understand why I was 1. charged double for freight by the shipper and 2. why did i Have to pay freight twice. It seems to me that the shipper was making a profit on the freight charges as well as the merchandise. Not acceptable.

I ordered almost all the pasta machine parts listed because I didn't know which one was the one that I was needing because the website did not contain any adequate description or photo of the parts...and none of the parts I received (which arrived very quickly) were the correct part so my pasta machine is still broken. This web order followed a similar experience calling by phone to customer service with my describing the part and them sending me the wrong part. I think I'm going to give up now trying to buy the broken part for this machine but I wish they would at least put an image or a proper description of parts on their website. I love the pasta machine and actually want to use it again.

I thought the website was very informative on the "set it and forget it" rotisserie options. I was replacing a compact version I had and loved for years with a larger one, primarily for my husband who is the meat cooking master in the family.The website gave a good comparison of all the available choices, and, they were having a sale on some of the units. I thought the comparison chart was very valuable. I will shop at this site in the future, and probably look to see what other types of products the website sells.
