Miserable people and policies

I will never order another thing from Onlinecarstereo.com. I ordered a simple Panasonic CD/MP3 player for a gift. I found the model I wanted at a good price at their website. They claimed it was "in stock." Apparently they were not. And instead of calling or emailing to notify me, they just sent another model (that did not have the two features I wanted most-no flip down face as it interferes with the standard-shift lever and an aux jack for her potable MP3 player.) The unit they sent without my consent had neither. When I called the first guy questioned my NEED for these features. (It's like ordering ribs and the waitress bringing pork chops to the table because they were out!) On the second call a better representative agreed that they should not have sent another model without notifying me first. He called the shipper to pick up the unopened stereo and promised a full return with no charges. To my dismay I got an email several days later saying onlinecarstereo was going to keep $24 in fees (for their own poor policy mistake!) I called again only to have another belligerent employee call me a liar yell some insults at me in broken English and hang up. I've been in retail for 20 years and I've never heard of service as bad as this. Maybe you can find a good price on the onlinecarstereo website, but I don't think it is worth the risk. Their customer service is deplorable and their business policies are questionable at best. From now on, I will buy my electronics from a reputable business, even if it costs a couple dollars more. Dealing with people like this is just not worth it.
