OK, but better communication would help

Ordered a TV stand. Did not receive a confirmation e-mail, which is unusual these days. Just an e-mail asking me if I want to receive offers from them...
Received call the next day for shipping details. I was told not to write anything down, because I will receive an e-mail with all the details. The email never came (it was not in the spam folder either).
Checked status on-line. It showed the item was shipped.
Called to get a tracking number. They could not give me one (told me it takes longer from that warehouse - did not make sense). Called again next day and finally decided to start tracking my order. Finally later that day they called me back that they found my tracking number.
By that time, the freight company already called me to schedule the delivery. Shipping done by ABF.
Item recevied on time and in perfect condition.
Every time I called I talked to curteous people. The only dissatisfaction is that I had to call several times and worried due to the lack of e-mail update.
Everything was fine in the end, but I would like timely updates. Their inability to send an e-mail even after several calls is hard to understand...
