The Web site is great, and I found the folks at OfficeFurniture.com courteous, and helpful to a point, but their furniture supply and delivery process was unreliable. The desk I ordered more than three months ago? Apprarently trashed in a New Jersey warehouse.
It showed as "in stock" at the time of my OfficeFurniture.com order, and of course my credit card was charged the $2,000+ right away. Then, a fire at the Mexican factory delayed shipping by two over months -- a tragedy, but I didn't cancel my order thinking, Why add to their grief? Nine weeks later, it shipped from San Diego. I'm in Connecticut. Shipping heavy furniture turns out to be a two-stage process -- the long hauler (Roadway, in my case) takes it to a local delivery outfit. You're sent a Roadway PRO number so you can track the progress online. And I watched as my desk eventually reached Roadway's Harrisburg, PA facility, then on to a Connecticut local delivery outfit who, it turns out, is no longer in the freight business -- so it was "shipment refused" and the desk went back to Harrisburg. Nothing happens. So, I called Roadway to sort out what happened, then called Officefurniture.com to redirect the shipment. They select a different local delivery outfit, now in New Jersey and off the desk goes again. But it appears that NJ firm also "refused shipment." Nothing happens. So, I call around again -- OfficeFurniture.com, Roadway. Courteous people, but cripes! My PRO number showed my desk was back in Harrisburg, PA for the third time. I'm thinking, "What shape will my desk be in after all this handling?". More calls and OfficeFurniture.com redirects it back to NJ.
Next day, it's reached that NJ local mover, but the reconsignment bill, which you can also view online, has the bad news: "Three boxes. Two boxes with desks - boxes torn, crushed, holes. Desk has damage. Other box has small holes." Do you think I should arrange home delivery? Not sure yet how this will turn out.
You were probably hoping to learn whether the furniture was of good quality? Not sure I'll ever know myself. But, in fairness to OfficeFurniture.com, they are probably as much a victim of this as I.
