UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Office Depot.com has brought customer service to an all time low! I thought that maybe my horrendous experience was an exception, but after reading the reviews...they must treat all their customers as bad. If I had stock in this crappy company, I would be selling it! I ordered a laptop computer for my daughter, my credit card was charged, and I got the email confirmation of it. Order was placed on hold, and then cancelled by their loss prevention dept (after they had received authorization from my credit card company. They never notified me & when I called, I got major run a round & finally, they let me reorder & gave me addl 10% off. Problem solved...NO!!!! They did the same thing with THAT order. Finally, needing the computer as it was my daughter's main gift, I ordered it thru my business account. To my surprise...I received 2 laptops. My credit card(s) are tied up with authorizations & charges for 4 laptops. I was told that I could return the "extra" laptop to the OD store...WRONG! After driving 45 minutes to the nearest OD store, I was told that I could NOT return it to the store. The OD staff said this happens "all the time". The store manager called the 800# & got a pick up authorization to pick up the computer at my office 2 days later...2 days later all I received was a recorded phone msg that they "tried to pick up, but where unable" ...funny because we own a Boat Dealership, and someone is ALWAYS here. They never came. I called cust svc, got the usual run a round, including talking to 2 people who had little grasp of the english language, and clearly didnt understand my frustration. Their (& this is a joke) "Customer Resolution" center rep called me back at 7am on my cell phone...I missed the call because I couldnt scramble out of bed and get to my purse in time.I've spent hours on the phone with these jerks, they are disorganized and the left hand has no idea what the right is doing.
COME ON GUYS....OUTSOURCING OVERSEAS MAY BE CHEAPER...BUT ITS COSTING YOU PLENTY OF BUSINESS.... READ THE REVIEWS!!!! BE SURE TO TYPE IN OFFICE DEPOT.COM, not just OFFICE DEPOT!
