I am a firm believer in customer satisfaction. I have not experienced this with Office Depot. After placing an order for delivery, I did not receive the full shipment on the delivery date. The online order tracking system stated that the delivery was fulfilled. Upon calling Office Depot, they failed to inform me that the shipment would be complete the next day. On top of that, they made an additional order for the items that I did not receive and attempted to charge me a second time and also sent the order to my billing address rather than my shipping address. Office Depot could not provide a delivery vendor nor a tracking number so I could cancel the order en route. Nor would they reimburse my charge account until they received the boxes back. The fact that this charge was made without my consent was very disturbing. I feel completely put out by the time that I had to dedicate to clear up a problem and to be reimbursed for my unauthorized charge. I waited on a return phone call from the customer relations manager for verbal confirmation that this situation had been cleared up. After two days, I did receive a fax noting my credit account had been reimbursed. However, I did not receive a return phone call, rather I felt as if I was being avoided. I likely would have continued to be a shopper with Office Depot had the customer relations department handled this situation differently. I will not do business with them nor will my company in the future.
Please be aware that they do not provide an outside vendor tracking number for delivery orders. You are only provided a customer order number. Their order tracking system is too basic for the size of the company and the business that they do.
