So far, I have been motivated to write reviews only by negative experiences. Recently, I had problems with 2 online purchases at the same time - one was a rug (see my other reviews) that I still don't have, and the other was a large TV from NewEgg.
The TV arrived via UPS. I did not notice any damage to the box, but when we opened the TV, the screen was smashed. Looking at the box then, a large shallow but obvious dent mark was visible where the TV was damaged. I anticipated having to go around and around with UPS AND NewEgg - I could feel the anxiety rising in my stomach! To my pleasant surprise, I called NewEgg first and they said they take care of everything. They resolved the issue within days, kept me in the loop via emails that explained just what was going on, and replaced the TV. UPS fetched the bad TV. One point off because the first two reps I spoke with said the new TV would ship right away; when I hadn't received a shipping notification, the next rep told me they were wrong and it would not ship for a couple more days due to their damage policy - but it did ship and is fine.
In comparison with the other company I am still dealing with, NewEgg represents just what an online retailer SHOULD do to reasonably satisfy their customers.
