I am a first time shopper at New Balance Tampa. I found the exact shoes my daughter needed for gym class at nearly $10 cheaper than the retail store recommened by the school. Shopping experience is good so far. They contacted me immediately with an out of stock notice and let me know that they would ship as soon as the item was in stock. I am disappointed in the fact that my shoes have not arrived, as of the submittal of this survey. At the date of my order, July 20, 2006, I located the shoes I needed, via the website. I then contacted New Balance Tampa and inquired concerning the availability. I spoke with someone who confirmed that the shoes were "onhand in the store" and also indicated that if I would "go ahead and place the order, the shoes will ship today". I was happy to know that my shoes would be arriving in a few days. However, by July 20,2006, my shoes had not arrived. I contacted New Balance Tampa and inquired concerning my order. I was informed that my shoes were out of stock and on back order. I was shocked to hear this. I was also informed that I had been notified of this situation, via e-mail. I did not have any record of an e-mail stating this. I am very disappointed that the shoes have not arrived. I am needing these for my son to have when he starts back to school (He wears a special insert, which requires the shoes be inhand, for the technician to modify the insert for proper fit). I will say that both customer service reps were very courteous. The rep that I spoke with, on my follow-up call was helpful in letting me know how my back-order would be handled, however I am still dissatisfied with originally being told that the shoes were in stock and would ship sameday, to now waiting to see if the factory will be able to satisfy a backorder condition, in time for my deadline. I checked "yes" that I would shop with this merchant again, however I may would change this answer if the shoes are not received by the quoted backorder date.

I bought a pair of running shoes, spent my time on chosing among the models the site said they had on stock... two days after they confirmed my order I received an email saying the tennis shoes I wanted were out of stock. I made a new order... spending again my time on chosing among the models the site said they had on stock... two days after I received an email saying it wasn't!!! I am not ordering anything on New Balance Tampa... it is a waste of time

After I placed my order I received an email from the merchant that they did not have the product I the replacement product was more expensive. When I told them that they had the obligation to find me a product which was comparable to the one that I had ordered, I received a phone call to let me know that they had just discovered the product that I had originally ordered. So in the end, I did receive my product as promised, with a bit of arm twisting!
