The place to shop for poor service

My experience with NM began when I applied for credit to purchase a handbag that I could not find anywhere else online. After I placed my credit application, I wasted what seemed like an eternity speaking with likely the entire staff of unprofessional, inadequately trained online reps. My inquiries about the credit application and online order process were never answered with the same explanation twice, if at all. I was transferred to EVERY available department and was given a wide variety of vague responses depending on to whom I was speaking. Finally, I decided the safest thing would be to cancel the credit application, which they could not or would not do (although many of the representatives, including a manager, said it could be canceled easily). It was quite evident no one really wanted my business, or cared enough to give me any correct information about their online shopping and/or credit applications. In my opinion the level of service I received should be viewed as embarrassing, considering they are known as a high quality (and higher priced) department store. I recall a few of the representatives were even quite rude. Incidentally, a few days later I found the purse I wanted when I called Nordstrom's at the Dallas Galleria, and received excellent customer service from a very nice young lady. She was more than happy to help.
