My sister mentioned at Christmas dinner she was in the market for UGGs. So what?
Well, the next morning I was watching Fox News and they said that Neiman Marcus had UGGs at 40% off!
Whoo hooo!!
It wasn't all UGGs, and it wasn't easy at 10:a to find the ones that were on sale-what was left of them.
I couldn't get in touch with my sister because she was at work. But a pair I knew she would want, they had in her size and a color (Chestnut) she would like. My size was only available in Beige-yuck for an everyday boot.
I ordered them for her and when I finally got hold of her she was thrilled. That was 12/26/08.
I checked the order on 12/28/08 and lo and behold there was a tracking number. They shipped 12/29 and were scheduled to arrive a week before the estimated delivery date.
Good experience. Except that they went on sale for almost $30.00 less on the 29th I guess. I was going to order them and just return the originals to the store, but they were just getting rid of inventory so her size and color were gone.
I will say their in-store return policy for items bought online is so archaic to be unbelievable. No free returns, which...OK. You can return items purchased online to the store. BUT they cannot credit you there.

Although any Neiman Marcus online or catalog purchase may be returned to a full-line Neiman Marcus store, credit for the return will not be issued in the store. Instead, you will receive a return acknowledgement slip, and credit will be issued once the return has been processed at the originating warehouse. Please allow ***2-3 weeks for the refund to be issued***. Online and catalog merchandise cannot be exchanged for merchandise in a Neiman Marcus store.
Emphasis mine. Really?!!!!
I will DEFINITELY have to be careful if I order from their website in the future. Or I'll just call the store and ask them to hold something and go there. I've had exchanges with ebay sellers take a LOT less time--days.
