Up until the point I had to return the mattress, I didn't have a problem. However, when I decided I simply couldn't bear to sleep on the mattress because I was extremely uncomfortable (it's the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on, but that's another story), the problems began. First, I called several times trying to get someone to call me back to get an RMA number. When Richard finally called, he tried to talk me out of returning it first. When I said I really wanted to return it, he reluctantly agreed to give me a return number.
So, I paid approximately $160 to ship the mattress back. When they received it, they said there was a stain (!) and it would be $205 to replace the cover. Neither my husband nor I remember any stain, but we have no proof of that, unfortunately. Even if there indeed WAS a stain that we didn't notice, it must have been very small one for neither of us to remember. $205 is outrageous. We really think they were trying to recoup some of their cost.
To make a long story short, I would be VERY cautious if you need to return something to Nationwide Mattress. We paid almost $400 between return shipping and the "stain" to return a mattress that cost $1600, which is ridiculous. If you need to make a return, TAKE PICTURES first, and be very, very cautious. Once you've sent something, you have no proof of whether or not the item was damaged to begin with. And I don't trust this company's honesty or business practices.
