Great Alternative to the "Candy Dish" Traditional Mattress
Exasperation leads to finding this throwback to when companies cared about customer service for a quality product.
Here's my story... hubby & I have spent over $1000 in the past 5 years on 2 traditional mattress sets. They were both great for the first year or so. Then the center sag sets in.... and of course, the warranty is void if even a faint water spill stain made its way through to the mattress top. I will never trust numbered sheep again. :)
Every morning aches and pains had us once again looking at returning to a waterbed. Then the TV ads with the bionic woman helped me to decide to research the air beds that are on the market.
I hit epinions.com looking for quality air beds at a decent price. I found rave reviews for nationwidemattress.com and their stellar customer service. I had a lot of questions and decided to call the customer service number at 11pm on a Sunday night. Within 3 minutes, I was connected to Richard and he patiently answered 40 minutes worth of questions. He suggested I go with the Cerenity over the Cerulean due to my gun-shy reaction to pillowtops. This honesty in sales is refreshing, considering the cerulean queen is $100 more than the cerenity queen that I bought.
The next day, Monday, I ordered the mattress and Richard said hed try to expedite the order since we were having such problems with backaches. Got the confirmation email of my order Monday night, and another with tracking info on Tuesday. FedEx delivered the mattress on Friday. 65 minutes later, I had the mattress set up by myself. Richard had mentioned that if I needed any help to give him a call and he'd talk me through it. I got the bonus upgrade of the visco memory foam topper, and had to wait for it to expand, as it was compacted from shipping. A couple of hours later, the foam had reached max capacity. I zipped up the top ( a little awkward, but not too difficult) and put my sheets back on (traditional queen sheets fit), and started adjusting. The first couple of nights were spent finding the perfect setting, and weve both slept like babies ever since.
That late night phone call to Richard, combined with the 90 day no hassle return policy, convinced me to make this leap of faith. And I landed in the most supportive, comfortable bed Ive ever slept in.
