I recently ordered and received a pair of made-to-measure pants from Ravis Custom Tailors. Everything about the process was positive. There were plenty of fabrics to choose from, and the fit and workmanship were excellent. You must send accurate measurements to obtain a good fit, and you will then be rewarded with a result that is far superior to what you are likely to find in an off-the-rack garment in a store. Also, you can design the details of the clothing the way you want them, such as cuffs, pleats, number of pockets, their locations, with or without flaps or buttons, etc. The website is very complete, but it does take some patience at first to become familiar with it. My order was completed promptly, and customer service replies by email were fast and courteous. Last but not least is a price that is no more than what you would pay for good quality clothes in a department store, but you get a better selection of fabrics and a better fit, designed the way you want.

I had a very good experience with these tailors.  They were prompt with email questions about my measurements and, when a fabric that I had ordered was out of stock, they allowed me to upgrade to a higher line of fabrics at no additional charge. They also responded within the day to every question that I had. (usually by the next morning)
I ordered on December 2 and received my suits on December 26.  The suits were incredible.  I am both big and tall and have long arms and a very hard to fit shape.  The suits fit me absolutely perfectly.  I was very nervous about measuring myself.  However, the measuring instructions were easy to follow and the suits could not have been tailored better if they were measured by the tailor personally. 
The fabrics are very nice for the lower suit levels.  I cannot get the quality for the price anywhere in the US. 
I am an attorney and need to be well stocked with suits.  I will order again and have no reason not to make them my exclusive source for all of my suits, shirts, jackets and pants.

I could not be more pleased. The garments are of excellent quality, beautifully finished and fit extremely well. In short, the garments are everything that I had hoped, and that you promised, they would be. I get compliments on how I look whenever I wear them. This is my 12th order over the last few years from this online tailors and yet again my expectations are not only fully met but exceeded. Considering the work involved in my orders it is surprising how quick they are turned around and delivered to me despite having to come to just about the furthest point they could do from Thailand. My experience with Ravis Custom Tailors can only be described as "Excellent."  Because of my busy schedule, Vicky was able to meet me in my hotel room.  He had many fabric samples and offered good advice.  In two days, he scheduled a "fine-tuning" fitting for me in his shop and made the final adjustments to the garments (few were needed because of the care he had taken in recording the measurements).  In another 48 hours, two suits, with extra slacks, a sport coat and six shirts were delivered to my hotel room.

The clothes are beautiful.  It is a pleasure to wear them.  They make me look better than I thought possible.

I have been ordering from Ravi for the past few years now and am consistently satisfied with his work. I have had five suits and probably 10-12 shirts made. I always look forward to wearing them and looking sharp all through the work week.
I'm a slim guy who is almost always disappointed buying off-the-rack clothes that are way too bulky for my frame. Why bother, when I can get custom-made shirts and suits for about the same price (often cheaper) than off-the-rack items, particularly since tailoring would usually be required anyway?

I am an American, and heard about Ravi's from a friend of mine. I was skepticle, but decided to give them a try. I bought three suits, a pair of dress pants, and 13 dress shirts. They sent me a sample pack of one suit (jacket and pants) and one shirts, I gave them my comments, and I got the balance of my full delivery two weeks later.

The quality of the product is actually what has caused me to write this review. The attentionm to detail, the little extras everywhere. The quality of the work is simply better than any custom work I have had before. The price / quality ratio is excellent. Never have I paid so little and gotten so much. To have it be over the top, high quality work is something that I had hoped for, but could not be certain of. Now I know.

The sixing chart on-line is a bit daunting. Ravi has a road show once in a while, and I went to see him to have him fill out the form.

Bottom line Quality, Price, Speed - Great

The service, speed of delivery and quality of the suit that I purchased were fantastic, I really couldn't have been happier with the transaction.

I was initially sceptical about having a suit custom tailored online, both due to the concern over whether I would receive a suit that would fit properly without being able to be measured by the tailor, or try on suit on before I purchased it, and the expense when buying over the internet (which while low considering what your receive is still of course a reasonable amount of money, it is a suit after all).

I am so glad that I did decide to place the order, the quality is easily as good as any suit I have previously purchased, and it fits better than any I have every tried on.

I really can't recommend buying from Ravis enough. If your experience is anything like mine you will end up with items that you will not only be happy to own, but will make you wish you had found this website earlier.

My first experience with Ravis was everything I hoped for. A quick measurement session while their tailor was in town, and I was able to place my first order for two suits and three shirts. I was kept informed through the whole production process, and everything arrived at my doorstep 16 days later. Ravis is extremely attentive to communications and making sure they provide a quality service. The result is custom-made clothing for less than what you'd pay off the rack. This really is one of those rare cases where what looks too good to be true actually is! I'll be buying my suits, shirts, pants, jackets and coats here from now on!

Some time ago (22 June -09) I ordered one Three piece Suit (CMT)
and two tux shirts.
I wanted a 40's style suit - thus, I sent lots of images depicting each and
every little detail
that I wanted reproduced - when the suit, and the shirts arrived (approx. 2
weeks later)
EVERYTHING was EXACTLY reproduced, according to my description !

I was in urgent need of a new suit for a speaking engagement this month, and having purchased three suits from My Custom Tailor previously, I was confident that I could get the style I desired in the time frame I required, all at a reasonable price.

I sent in a variety of style photos from a recent designer collection and communicated the urgency of the situation. In their customary fashion, the MCT team members were quick to respond; the order was prioritized and rushed to my doorstep before I departed the U.S.

The result was a beautifully-crafted suit that garnered many compliments from my peers. I was even told by one business partner that she had not seen a man look so dashing in years!

June 2008 Update after receipt of full order. Fit is great, clothes are better made, more comfortable to wear, and look better than most of the off the rack clothing I have ever purchased. Definitely worth trying

History starting Feb 2008: The appointment with the master tailor went smoothly.
I received an email confirming my order over 2 weeks within a reasonable time-frame, but communication after that was slow.
Delivery was longer than expected. My original dispatch date was 3/26, then it was changed to the week of 4/7, the first set of pieces were finally shipped 5/10, final order arrived about 60 days late.
I did receive steady responses to a series of emails with questions and Ravis was able to successfully incorporate a change to the style of slacks in the order.
The garments in the initial shipment fit well, but now I cannot find the email telling me what pictures to take to provide feedback on the fit.
Overall, a prolonged transaction which still has the possibility of turning out reasonably well.

I ordered a custom-made suit and shirt from Ravis in mid-April 2008. I expressed at that time that I needed this order in time for my son's upcoming wedding on May 17th. Once they were aware of my deadline, Ravis did all in their power to expedite the order. I received my suit and shirt via UPS from Ravis on Friday, May 9th, and am extremely pleased with the results.

The suit's workmanship is wonderful - the fabric is superb and the tailoring is of utmost quality. As a repeat customer, I've come to expect nothing less from Ravis. Past orders have exhibited the same craftsmanship shown in my most recent order.

Once again, Ravis is to be commended for their outstanding service and speed of delivery. They have exceeded my expectations on more than one occasion and I would highly recommend them to all who are seeking customized tailoring at a modest cost!

The quality of the fabrics and the workmanship is far superior to that of any off the rack suit or a made to measure suit. I have always wanted to buy custom shirts but never did. I have shopped with Ravis Custom Tailor several times. I find the quality of their work to be excellent. As I have used other online tailors, to date Ravis is the best. The clothes come well packaged and they also send them out fairly quick from time of ordering. Customer service is excellent they contact you with updates promptly and also update order status on your account page of the website.
Overall I give Ravis an A.

I have ordered from Ravis several times, and have never been disappointed. You can buy clothes for the same price---or less---than you could in a department store, but will fit you perfectly and be of a finer quality.

They often come through the USA on tour, to take people's measurements and to show them styles and swatches. Try to go to one of these if you can if you are not confident about taking your own measurements. I was able to do so pretty easily, but I can see where this would make some nervous.

Their website is particularly easy to use. Even if you don't think you'll buy anything, play around on the website a while. I think I first bought just a couple of pairs of pants many years ago, which were on special (the fabric). I still have them (but can't wear them much anymore due to some strange thing that keeps happening to my waistline).

You won't be disappointed with their service.

The suit was perfect.
We were apprehensive about ordering my husbands suit for our daughters wedding, online. We took a chance, ordering it far enough in advance to have an alternate plan, if it did not work out.
So, we were thrilled when the suit came back in four weeks and fit perfect.
I emailed a suit maker in Hong Kong, I've dealt with since my visit their five years ago and I didn't want to pay the price, since my husband doesn't wear suits. The price we paid Ravis was so reasonable, my husband wanted to order more. I did order two pair of casual pants, the same day.
I will be ordering custom cloths for myself by August. They are our tailor now.

The fit was great and quality was great as well. I am looking forward to future purchases. Communication and updates from website were very informative and helped very much. Overall speed was also fantastic. This has been great shopping experience; and I am going to be ordering all of my suits from them in the future. I am also going to try the custom jeans they offer. If you can make it to one of the fittings offered in the US when there is a visit I would do so. Having the fabrics in hand helps a lot with ordering and Ravi did a great job with measurements.
