I placed the order on the 5th of June and have not received it. I called and was told that one of the warehouses was flooded and did not have power but no one contacted me to advise that there would be a delay on my receiving this order. i only found this out once i placed the call to Wards to inquiry about the status. I advised them to cancel the order on june 26th when the custmoer service rep could not give me a status because she had no idea of my order had been shipped or not.

I have not received the cart I ordered - have not been able to get hold of them, and they won't return my calls - yet they have taken the money. It has been a month - and still nothing. This has got to be one of the worst vendors I have done business with. If you can push them to make them send my cart I would appreciate it.

Apparently the distribution center handling my order was affected by the flooding. After putting in my order on June 3rd, I waited 2 weeks. Then after not hearing anything, I tried calling; only got a recording,"Due to emergency situations, we are unable to answer your call". I then emailed them and got an answer of,'wait 2 weeks and contact us again'. I have been unable to contact them because I want my order canceled.

The answer to #7 is really I don't know. I have been trying to get some info on my order since 2 days after it was placed. Finally got a form e-mail saying to try back later because of the floods. I think it is a cop out. I understand if they can't ship something because of that but Montgomery ward is a big company and the internet can be accessed from anywhere in the world. I will probably give them one more try but a company that is not in the 21st century with there order fulfillment won't keep my business for long. I'm not asking for much, just the ability to know what they know about my order without talking to a person and if they have issues for them to actively inform me without me having to dig for them.

The catalog I received said I was approved to order now and pay later and I received a letter stating I had to pay half up front and I could make payments on the rest. I was very disappointed as I needed those items for my sister-in-law's visit. I am trying to get up the $ so I can still receive the merchandise but I'm not sure I can meet the time limit.

I placed my order online and at first had some questions about the availability of a bedspread I had ordered. I used the 'contact us' e-mail process. I received immediate response from an associate and this has since been followed up by a courtesy call from them as well. In addition, I was contacted by phone by an associate informing me of the shipment of the rest of my order and when to expect it! I have to say that to me, this is REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE and I APPRECIATE how Montgomery Ward is continuing to do business. I remember how my parents shopped at Montgomery Ward stores in the 60's. I was actually surprised to find them online, but was willing to order from them, due to NAME RECOGNITION and prior knowledge of the quality associated with the name. I will do business with them in the future. Thank you.

I was told by MW that my delivery date for the Baker's Rack would be approx. April 25th. When I didn't receive the rack, I began calling MW customer service, and was told they would have to check with their warehouse and would get back with me. In the meantime, I checked on other websites that carried the same Baker's Rack, and found out through them that the rack was out-of-stock for everyone, and would not be available until July. I wasted almost a month waiting on MW to send me the baker's rack, and then was given the run-around about why I hadn't received the rack on the promised delivery date. They never did tell me that the rack was out-of-stock, and couldn't be shipped until July. When I told them I wanted to cancel my order with them, I was told they couldn't do that over the phone, and that I would be receiving a post card in the mail confirm-ing that indeed my order had been cancelled. I have never gone though such a hassle trying to buy something and then trying to cancel the order. If they had just told me in the first place that the baker's rack was unavailable, I would have gotten a different one through them and everyone would have been happy. As it was, I was upset that they never told me the rack was out-of-stock, made me wait for information, and then made me wait another week to get confirmation that my order had been cancelled so I could get a baker's rack somewhere else. I did purchase a baker's rack through BakersRack.com with no hassles whatsoever, and at a better price with free shipping. I should have gone to that website in the first place!

The on-line shopping experience itself was pretty good. It was fairly easy to find the items that I was looking for on the website. There is also a nice selection of items from which to make your selection. However, there was some confusion as to whether the items, once I ordered them, were in-stock or not and the "tracking" for the items that I ordered needs to be improved. I am also not happy with the "shipping". I paid $25.00 to ship my order which consisted of 2 small curtain rods (no longer than 30") that came FEDEX and my curtains which were shoved into a plastic shipping bag and sent USPS. I would have appreciated my curtains to have been placed in a box and sent FEDEX as well.
