Meritline is a nightmare! Don't use them!!!

I'm not one to post horrible things about a company, but after the nightmare ordeal I went through with them, I feel I need to warn all of you.

To start off. I was trying to save money and get some inexpensive media. I had had luck with Meritline's 1X DVD-Rs in the past, so I thought I would try their 2x. I ordered 100 of them.

i had nothing but problems with the 2x media. Whether it was crashing in mid-burn, or just not playing on set-top players. I emailed the company and and told them of my problems. i explained that I wanted to return the dvds for a refund because the DVDs were defective and i was forced to go out to my local store to get ones that worked.

They were ok and sent me an RMA number to return them for a refund as agreed. 2 Weeks later I get 40 Verbatims in the mail with a note saying that this is what I requested as a replacement. I never asked for any replacement and my note with my returned DVDs said that all I wanted was a refund.

I called they're office and struggled to have a conversation with a very nice woman who didnt speak english very well. (or at all for that matter)
I managed to figure out that she was telling me to email someone else named Jerry.

So I emailed jerry and explained my situation to him. I explained that I never asked for replacement dvds and that I wanted a refund. I explained that I was forced to go out and buy DVDs at a store because the DVDs he sent were defective. I explained that I ordered 100 dvds orginally and they replaced them with 40 dvds (don't ask how that happened)

After about 10 emails back and forth with Jerry not being helpful at all. I gave him an option.

1. Send me a return label and take back these DVDs. Credit my account for a full refund.

2. Do nothing. I call my credit card company and issue a complaint. Get my money back from them and post a not so nice message on this and other message boards.

He ignored that email and here I am... My credit card is fighting with Meritiline. I returned the DVDs out of my own pocket. And i got my money back.

so...the moral of this long story.
1. Don't buy from Meritline
2. Meritiline media is faulty
3. Don't be cheap like me. Buy good media.
4. don't bother fighting with a company that can't speak english. just sell what they sent you on eBay and save yourself the aggravation i suffered.

hope this helps.
