Oh I wish that I had done proper research on this company. In October 2008, I ordered a loft bed from Mercantila's Internet front store "loftbeds." My credit card was promptly charged $759.00. It is now October 2009 and I have not received the merchandise. When the item was not delivered as promised, I cancelled the order in November 2008, according the website instructions. I have filed complaints with the FCC, the Attorney General, the IC3 fraud unit, my credit card company, and others. I have not received a credit to my account. This company knows all the tricks. They sent a fake shipping receipt to my U.S. Bank (credit card holder.) When I saw the copy, the address was for somewhere in Orange County, California. (I reside in Illinois.) It is mind-boggling that no one seems able to correct this situation and that this company can continue to operate.
DO NOT,,,, DO *NOT* ,,,, DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES.
ALSO note, the Internet Loft Bed Store did not list its affiliation as a Mercantila "company." You don't know it until you order a product. Check the fine print VERY carefully before paying any Internet company. They're like rodent poop ... you don't now you have a rat until you see the poop and by then .. it's too late!
