Ordered the table on-line with no problem. The confirmation notices were sent promptly. However, the tracking information was lagging. I know it's not their fault, it's FedEx's fault. Every time I'd check for a status update, it would have nothing available. FedEx then screwed up my Friday delivery and would not re-deliver until Monday (which wouldn't help me because I'd be at work anyway). I had to drive 1.5 hours from my apartment in Connecticut to the FedEx facility in Rhode Island --major inconvenience, especially during a rainy Friday afternoon rush hour. Made it to the facility to pick up my table,(which resembled a maximum-security prison, with the fences and security gates). I couldn't find any sort of "Customer Service" sign, so I just took a gamble and followed one of the drivers that was returning from a run through the security gate. I parked behind his truck and went in the unmarked door. I immediately saw the box, soaking wet, looking pretty beat up. I was hoping that the contents wouldn't be damaged. I signed for it, and borrowed a cart to load it into my Toyota Corolla (in the pouring rain) since FedEx didn't want any liability of damaging my vehicle.
Getting the table to my apartment was entirely most of the battle. After getting it in the door, things ran smoothly. I took pictures every step of unpacking the box, fearing damage. I laid everything out neatly on the floor and took an inventory. Everything was accounted for. For as beat up and trashed as the box looked, the only damage noted was a slight bend on the folding support cross member that is attached to the base. Instructions were OK, not great, just OK. The pictures will help greatly. Just keep looking at what the finished product is supposed to look like. I would
strongly advise against using the supplied tools and use regular tools--#3 Philips screwdriver, crescent wrench and a socket set. They could have just let you supply your own tools (or list it as an option) and save a couple of bucks. Anyone with a low-moderate degree of mechanical aptitude should have no problem assembling the table. Total assembly time; one hour, nine minutes.
I started out at just 30º incline and felt
IMMEDIATE relief.
