Mercantila has an F rating from the BBB

After placing an order with Mercantila on-line July 20, 2009 my money was promptly taken and an estimated delivery date of July 23, 2009 was given. After repeated phone call and e-mail attempts for a tracking number and update I was given the same responses of we have no information regarding your order, no tracking number, and the warehouse is working on it, call back in 3 business days for an update. Well, by August 12, after calling for another update an again no information regarding my order, I canceled. They wouldn't even confirm my cancellation in the event it might have shipped already and told me to call back in 3 business days. August 18, 2009 I called and you guessed it no information. In summary they have excellent technology when it comes to placing an order and taking your money, but when it comes to shipment, cancellation and refund their technology and customer service reps become incompetent. It is now one month from purchase date an I have filed a dispute claim with my credit card for a chargeback and a claim with the BBB. By the way BBB gives them an F rating and their accreditation was revoked 8-26-08. The positive reviews on this website sound like cookie cutter false positives probably placed by Mercantila themselves. Do yourselves a favor and don't order from this company.
