I am fuming!! I spent a few hours picking out clothes in the clearance section of Macys.com I ordered 10 items total, (I wanted to order more, but so much was out of stock, the prices were great & I was happy to be able to get these items, mostly clothes at least 75% off) Everything I purchased was supposedly "in stock", now I can understand a mistake or two, but I received only one item I ordered, the invoice said the rest of the items would be shipped on 1/29/02, leading me to believe I would eventually get them. I went to macys.com to check order status, most items were deleted from my order, the few that remained said "in progress", so I called the 800 Macy's number to check. Now I'm told the whole entire rest of the order is cancelled, due to unanticipated response to the sale. I still can't believe they let me order 9 items that they just don't have! The guy said "we sent you several emails (no they didn't, then he corrected himself when I challenged that and said, "well they were sent out at 6a.m. today" It's 11:12 a.m still no email. I should mention that I placed another order with them for leather pants a few days later, he said they are on "backorder" but I won't hold my breath!! My advice--If you have nothing better to do, you can take a chance and order 50 items, you might get 2, if you're lucky! Also, online it looks like I was charged the full amount for everything, I have to wait till my Visa bill comes in. Hope this helps someone out there!!
