I have looked at Macys.com several times, but never placed an order. But, since I am a Macy’s card holder, and they had a deal to get 15% off when using my card plus free shipping, I figured, why not?

I’ve been to Macy’s store millions of times, and sometimes I find stuff and sometimes not. Just depends on the time of year and sales and whatnot. Anyway, when logging onto macys.com, you have the following categories to choose from across the top:

The main thing I was looking for was for tops, but since I’m rather small I decided to try the Juniors section first. On the left of the Juniors homepage, you can shop by clothing piece, or by what was new or by brand. After selecting ‘tops’, you then can select your size or brand you are looking for from the drop down menus at the top. I selected my size, and the selection was cut down from 12 pages down to 4- bah! So, I can’t say they had a whole lot of selection, but I decided to scratch around anyway, you never know, could be something great and I miss out on it. The site overall is easy to deal with.

I did happen to find one top, but I didn’t want to order with just one item in my cart, and so I continued to scratch around until I found 4 tops. After using my 15% off and free shipping, I paid $80 for 4 name brand tops, which sounded good to me. Not only do they accept Macy’s cards, but all other major cards as well.

Anyway, after placing my order four days later I got an email saying my order had shipped, and four days after that I got my order. Not exactly the fastest thing out there, but I had ordered stuff I really didn’t need immediately.

Looking back now, there is one top that I wish I hadn’t gotten, because I don’t think it is going to last very long- it’s a dark color and I washed it, and even know it is a name brand the color is going to be faded out in 3 washes probably. But, for what I paid for it I can get my use out of it and then be done with it.

Overall, well I’d rate this site an average. Not really all that impressed with the selection, especially in the smaller sizes because the selection is not as great. The store for sure has more than the site. But, you can get some pretty good deals as far as prices, and if you are a Macy’s card holder the deals can get even better. But, do realize what you are getting into when buying, and just don’t buy it just because it is cheap.

As far as shipping goes, well it’s not the fastest out there, so do be aware of that. This is a place I probably won’t visit all that often. I would recommend other stores before this one.
