Once on a product page, the web site became a confounding mess. Decoding and understanding how to deal with rebates, extra charges, fees, etc. was confusing and part of me felt like MacMall intended it to be this way to increase the complexity of being able to redeem the rebates. It felt disingenuous to draw me in with promises of rebates, and then make it extremely difficult to differentiate between all of the options and actually redeem them. It made me distrust MacMall, and as a result, I would probably think twice about placing another order in the future (this is the second large purchase I made in the last year, and I'm not putting up with this again). There are other criticisms I have about the overall experience of using the web site, but why bother? MacMall seems like it isn't really concerned about customer service and is solely focused on moving product. What difference does my input make?

I have purchased items from Mac Mall for the past 5 years and have only had great experiences. Orders are filled and shipped out almost instantly. Shopping at Mac Mall is how online shopping should be done evrywhere.

Initial order was difficult to do over internet, part of order was cancelled. Shawn Brown at Mac Mall helped with the problem and got me some items that were available with the rebate that the first order writer said was no longer available

I contacted the vendor since the PC Mall packaging receipt does not show the cost of the Norton software which is required for the rebate. One packaging/invoice only shows that it was backordered; the packaging from PC Mall that came with the package had no cost. I have not received any response to my email. If I do not receive a reply, I will write to Norton and include that in the rebate request... I might lose the rebate due to the way they process orders. I do like the vendor and this is the first problem I have had with them.

Beware the "free" offers at PCmall.com and Macmall.com. They are free only after rebate, and they make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to take advantage of the rebate. In addition to all the little things they make you do (fill out forms, cut out UPC codes, etc.), the rebates have extremely short redemption periods -- 1 to 2 weeks FROM THE TIME YOU ORDER. What PCmall/Macmall does is ship your items late, so that you do not get your items until AFTER the rebate deadline. So you wind up paying inflated prices for these so-called free items. Their customer service is also unresponsive; when I was told that my "free" items were backordered, I tried to cancel them, but customer service didn't respond to my e-mail for over a week, and then they told me it was too late. This is not an ethical business -- take your money elsewhere!

Placed order based on website info that claimed item was in stock. After five days of no e-mail contacts I called them and was informed the product was back ordered and they didn't know when it would become available. This order was a Christmas gift and it would be nice to receive it before Christmas. Customer service rep was friendly, but overly effusive in his demeanor. He simply made light of the fact that their website information was erroneous and said it happens all the time.

It was strange. I tried to pay via Paypal, but had to manipulate shipping address on PP site. LSS, ended up with no order confirmation, the card just showed up. So, OK.

I recently ordered a G5 and they gave me "FREE" RAM, I was not told it was after rebate but whatever I can live with that, but they charge you $40 to install the RAM. So I received my G5 on time as scheduled but the RAM was no good. So they charge me $40 to install it and they give me a defective product. After I spoke with a rep telling me they would have FedEx pick it up the next day, FedEx never showed up, So i sent it out on my own UPS account.

I was credited the $40 installation fee to my CC and should have my new RAM in by monday. If it happens, we'll see. Basically in a nutshell the experience was not that great and aggravating. Had to make alotttt of phonecalls and put on hold too long to get this settled.

I was very glad that they had the battery for my otherwise still functioning quite well laptop. The manufacturer no longer carried this part.

I would strongly advise a reconsideration of your shipping provider. I've always experienced problems with UPS, and this time around was no exception. As I tracked the order online, the shipping date was changed (moved back) on mulitple occasions, and because I live in an apartment building there was unneessary confusion having the packaged delivered to the correct apartment. These are problems, mind you, that I never experience with the other major carriers (FedEx, DHL, or Airborne.)

There were no surprises on this order. Item was quickly shipped (same day) exactly as advertised. Item was received well packaged in perfect condition. Price was 20% cheaper than I could purchase the product locally.

Price listed was the lowest for the product. A rebate was not mentioned until I was in check out! Then it was a mail-in rebate. The order is on back order, still on back order. I have received no communication about this. They required my email address to complete the order but only used it to confirm the order. It's been two weeks since the order was confirmed. The only way I found out it was on back order was by going to their site and checking myself. For back orders they should contact me! I will try to avoid shopping at macmall again.

Belkin web site sold item for $70., Macmall...$40! Still w/ shipping of $14 I still saved $6 & didn't have to fight crowds to acquire item! Not Bad.

Excellent buying experience. They had one of the best prices posted on the net for the Samsung ltp468w lcd tv ($2000 less than my local bigname electronics store). When placing the order online it informed me that the it would be back ordered, so I called them to get the possible shipping date. The agent was excellent, I called him often, the first time I got his voice mail which informed me of his days and hours, however he returned my call on their dime promptly and he always answered when he was working. The machine arrived via FEDEX in perfect condition. They need to expand into a less specialized field, we need more internet stores like this.
