Horrible, Horrible online store!

This is a horrible, horrible online store. If you are planning to buy a Macintosh product, do yourself a huge favor and spend the extra few dollars to buy directly from Apple.

They have a 100% NO RETURN policy on all Apple products even if the product comes to you defective, in pieces or simply not working at all or correctly.

I ordered a two thousand dollar Apple G5 computer from them. The computer came with a defective mother board, power supply and processor (yes, all three were defective!). The computer would run when it was turned off (literally you could hear the processor (not the fan) running when the machine was turned off. The sleep mechanism would freeze the computer and force the system to restart without shutting it down properly. The system was just a mess.

Macmall REFUSED to take the product back. They enforce this ridiculous no return policy on all Apple products without exception even if the product is flat out broken.

I was forced to lug a huge computer to the Apple store where they proceeded to tell me that they needed a month to fix the system despite the fact that I called and made an appointment in advance. When I asked them if they would replace the product rather than fix it, Apple said that they would if I had bought it directly from them but their policy was to fix the computer (as per the warranty agreement) instead of doing an exchange (which they would normally do if you bought directly from them).

Macmall is the worst reseller of Apple products, I have ever encountered in my life. Never, EVER purchase anything from them unless you want to be without your Apple computer, IPod or other Apple product if it is completely defective. Apple claimed that the computer was either damaged in shipping or in the Macmall warehouse. Even if the product was simply defective (an understandable complication with electronic devices, computers etc.), Macmall should stand by the products they sell and offer the same policy that Apple offers when you purchase directly from them.

This is unacceptable and completely wrong. I highly recommend you do not purchase from them!
