Several weeks ago, I placed an order with MpGear.com and I am still waiting for the shipment, in fact, I just sent an e-mail to cancel the order (I sent it with the request for "Return Receipt" since they did not respond to e-mail inquiries in the past)
Their customer service is dismal: Not only do they not notify the customer if a product is unavailable (even though the website leaves you with the impression it is readily available and will ship immediately) but they also do not return e-mails inquiring about the order. Furthermore, it is almost impossible to talk to a live person. After I finally talked to someone, he claimed that he looked up my order and that he could get the item and ship it the same day. I would receive an e-mail confirmation including tracking information the next day - nothing ever came, no e-mail, no tracking information, no shipment. I could go on, but I have wasted enough time already.... Do not waste your time and order trough this web site!!! |

I recently had a very positive experience with ordering a Thule box from MPGear. Initially, there was a mix-up with shipment of my item that I needed to receive by a certain date to facilitate my roadtrip. I was not going to be able to receive my Thule box by the time I was set to hit the road, so the owner of MPGear, Erik, made arrangements for me to pick up the box I needed at a local retailer in Maine. I ordered from MPGear in the first place because they had the best price around, so Erik covered the cost of buying my Thule box locally with a gift certificate to MPGear.com. A very honorable company. I wish more retailers would be as customer focused as MPGear.com is.
This was a very positive experience and I would recommend MPGear.com to anyone. MPGear also has really competitive prices on top of the great customer service. MPGear beat all other online retailers for the Thule box I was looking for by $85.00. Check this place out before you make your next outdoor gear purchase. |

I've ordered outdoor gear on several occasions from Mountains Plus and appreciate their excellent service and price. But as a guy who doesn't like to shop, the thing I've enjoyed most is the quality of the gear. I took my chances on a couple items that I wasn't familiar with and was pleased with the high quality. If no hassle and high quality are what you're after, then Mountains Plus is for you.

I had a great experience with them, getting good product advice and my delivery on time. I ordered an Osprey pack and have been super happy with the product. I wasn't sure what pack I wanted, but after talking with the customer service rep, I had what has turned out to be a perfect recommendation. Fast, friendly service with on-time delivery. That is what I would expect out of an online retailer and they lived up to my expectations!

I ordered a pair of Inov8 shoes that came with Free socks. The shoes were shipped the same day and I received them via ground shipping in 4 days.
When I received the shoes, they were the wrong size (sent correctly, just didn't fit) so I called them to see about an exchange. It is important to point out that they list their sizes as 'Unisex Sizing" which really is Men's US so if you need a woman's shoe, adjust accordingly. There were helpful and offered to send a new pair of the size I needed with a return label. I received the new pair/size with a return label in 4 more days. It doesn't appear that they offer free returns so this extra effort on their part was certainly appreciated. I did send them a note recommending that they reflect women's sizes on their site as well. I received an email back from their customer care manager, Brian, stating that he appreciated the feedback and that they are working to do just that. Overall they had a good price and were great to deal with. I would have no problems recommending them to anyone I know. Thank you! |

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They never return emails or messages and you can only leave messages for customer service. Very poor communication. After many days and no shipment and no notification of shipment I called and left 3 messages and 2 emails over a period of 3 days and got NO response. Finally I got a hold of them online and it was OUT OF STOCK! They never emailed or called to let me know. They did send a comparable item in a timely manner but emailed me the wrong tracking number. Now I'm waiting for the 2nd shipment and I can't get a tracking number out of them!!! The item should have been here days ago, and no response from customer service...so here we are again...waiting! Honestly, I'm not even sure they're going to send it! I order online 4-5 times/month and have NEVER EVER had an experience like this and I've dealt with 30+ online stores!
