Customer Service Was Not At All Helpful When My CC Was Charged An Extra Time

The customer service at lillian vernon is horrible! They charged my credit card an extra time and claimed it was because they charge for items as they ship out. I stated to them that I understood items were charged for as they were shipped but that I had been charged more then my order total by approximately $50. Even after I explained to them I was charged more then what my ordered totaled they still claimed it was because they don't charge for an item until it is shipped. When I tried once more to explain to them that I was charged more then my order amount in a separate transaction they told me I would need to speak to my bank about the extra charges. I asked why I needed to speak to my bank when they were the ones who placed the extra charge on my credit card and they said the same thing that they stated many times before which was "we charge for each item as it ships".
She also told me their system didn't show a second order with those charges which was my point from the beginning. I didn't place a second order but was charged for one. They also tried to tell me I was never charged an extra time when it was clearly stated on my account statement. I have purchased from them in the past with no problems but after this I will never purchase from them again because their customer service is a hassle to deal with and didn't take care of any problems. I'm just thankful that the extra charge wasn't a higher amount.
The quality of the items was average but nothing outstanding. They definitely weren't worth the hassle of dealing with the extra charges.
