The first table lamp showed up rusty and with welding imperfections. I called in and they immediately sent a new one. The second table lamp has some imperfections with the welds, but we are still waiting for the floor lamp to see what kind of quality it is in before deciding to send everything back. They say that the floor lamp was delivered with the first lamp, but it was not. So we are still waiting for the floor lamp. This has been frustrating. Service has been preety good, lamp quality poor!

Very good shopping experience! I began with ordering two end tables. When they arrived I was very pleased with the quality of the product. I then ordered another end table and a coffee table. All the tables are sturdy and well made. And the price is very reasonable. I checked out tables at area furniture stores and found similar tables starting at twice the price. The tables are relatively easy to assemble, and I was very pleased with how quickly my order was delivered. I received them within a week of placing my order. I definitely recommend this vendor.

I placed fairly large order on their website which somehow git entered into their system twice - two absolutely identical orders started arriving to my doorsteps couple days later. I called their customer service to notify of situation and asked them to pick up extra items which I did not purchase. Lighting Universe support was absolutely terrible in handling this matter, they refused to pay for shipment and accused me of placing the same order twice. I was so disgusted with the way they treated me over the phone that decided to return my original order as well. If I have to pay for their mistakes then might as well take my $ somewhere else.

Although my fixture arrived damaged, I was able to get quick help from the phone representatives and received the replacement part in an amazingly quick period of time. Damages happen but how a company reacts is definitely how I rate a company and LightingUniverse is one of the best sites I have ever used to shop online. I've used them in the past and will absolutely use them in the future when I need lighting fixtures.

I will never order from Lighting Universe again. After spending over $1000 dollars with Lighting Universe, one of the items in my order arrived damaged. After two calls to customer service, they finally agreed to send me a replacement free of charge. They provided me with what they called a Reference # and told me to expect the item to arrive within 1 week. A confirmation of the replacement order was sent to me via email the next day. After three weeks I had not received the item, so I contacted customer service again. They denied making a commitment to replace the item, and essentially accused me of lying. They refused to allow me to talk to a supervisor and told me there was nothing more they would do.
Based on my personal experience and what appears to be a consistent pattern of dishonest and/or fraudulent business practices, I plan to take up this matter with the Washington State Attorney General's office. |

There was an error on the order so I immediately cancelled. The transaction went through to paypal that night Oct 16th. It still shows on my paypal account even though the transaction was cancelled within one minute after placing the order and no lights were ever shipped. I contacted customer service last week but nothing has been done and noone ever got back to me. Since then I found out that any products this company has, I can buy them elsewhere for less money and less trouble.

Love them! Bought the 3 light and 4 light mounted them facing down. The only problem was trying to install normal light bulbs. The globes are narrow and the threading is a challenge. Finally we bought the decorative flame clear light bulbs 60W and they installed much easier! And they look beautiful. The fixture is modern and classy! The company was great to deal with. I would buy from them again and they have the best selection. I looked everywhere for the perfect lights for my bathrooms!

Shopping experience generally positive. Items came within a reasonable time after order.
I had to return this order due to the unacceptable greenish tinge of the LED Lamps.
They would do themselves and their customers a great favor if they published accurate color temperatures or color spectrum density for Led Lights as these can not be replaced like Halogens or incandescent lamps.

The return of the first item, remains open and the box sitting here taking up space, after a week of notifying. The replacement was received and in perfect condition. The return process needs improvement, and customer service needs the authority to expedite replacement shipments.

The site was well organized and easy to navigate. There was a wide selection of products. The lamps were clearly described and photographed, which made it easier to select the correct item. The customer reviews also helped us select the correct lamp for our difficult lighting problem. We found a beautiful picture light that arrived promptly as promised. It illuminated a painting without glare and provided soft light for that side of the room. We also received a follow up email from Lighting Universe asking if everything was to our satisfaction. The lamp we selected was reasonably priced, certainly competitive with other online stores, and the quality excellent. We will definitely shop here again.

I failed to note that three of my lamps needed a "knuckle" or swivel for my slanted ceiling. Imagine my frustration when my electrician tried to install them. Now all I need is a return address to complete my order in a timely manner.

The installation instructions are incomplete. They say to make wire
connections with wire nuts: (a) black wire from the fixture to the
black wire from the power source, (b) white wire from the fixture
to the white wire from the power source. The power source also
has a bare ground wire. The instructions do not say what to
do with the ground wire.
I connected the ground wire to the metal pole, using a small
nut and bolt, with the bolt going in through a small hole in the
pole, and the nut inside the pole. It was not easy to position
the nut properly, since the hole was about 4 inches below the
open top end of the pole.

It seems that the product was a used one and was unprofessionally re-packaged. The power cable was full of sticky white stuff (styropore). Also, one of the corner distance holder colapsed during transport and damaged the shade. Will buy a new shade from home depot.

This has beed VERY frutrating No hassle returns is a lie. took months to get return then they added re-stocking fee even though the manufactorer Justice design group states no re-stocking fee and Lighting Universe states no re-stocking fee but they charge it. Customer service is horrible as you can stay on hold for 30 minutess or more .

Contacted LU via live - live chat as lamps were still being shown as available on website - lamps still discontinued and it would take approximately 5 days for refund to show on cc.
Refund posted on CC - 8/10/11.
No one from LU ever contacted me with regards to possible substitutions for original lamps ordered.
Purchased lamps from Lamps Plus instead. (order placed on 8/6/11-received on 8/11/11)
Lighting Universe shows plenty of lamps/lighting but much is not in stock. The lamps I tried to purchase were "in stock" but then not.
Would most certainly NOT shop this merchant again.
