Ordered power supply, was charged, received tracking number, and then they canceled the order. The reason sent to Google Checkout was "Customer Request". They still have the power supply listed. Shoddy company. AVOID!

I ordered a battery for my IBM laptop. It turned out to be a peice of crap. After one charge-up, it wouldn't work any more. I called customer service and talked to some rude witch who laughed at me.

Many months later, I discovered that a company called Travel Values Plus had been taking money out of my bank account without my permission. I called them up and they told me I had signed up for their crap when I placed my order at Laptops for Less. It seems that Laptops for Less must have some sort of hidden deceptive deal that you had to opt out of or something. I'm not even sure how it happened exactly, but Ive had a similar experience with Real Player. These companies are rip-off artists!

I did succeed in getting the hundreds of dollars that Travel Values Plus stole from me credited back to my debit card, after calling and threatening to take them to court etc..

Beware of both of these scam companies!!

I was very satisfied with the way my order was handled. The only problem was with FedEx. The driver delivered the package to another address and did not leave any notice at my house. It took me three days to track down where the package had been left.

I expected the purchase to be delivered within 2-3 days but it took 5 days instead. That was a disappointment. I contacted customer service because the whole reason we purchased the AC adapter was for my partner's trip to NYC--and the AC adapter did not arrive in time. Also now I have discovered that the Pismo laptop won't power up even with the working AC adapter I ordered. If you want to improve service have on the website an honest estimate of how long it will take to receive the product. Otherwise I think the service and website interaction was generally very good.

Ease of locating the item required, ordering the item and selecting the method of shipping. Only negative would be the limited shipper choices. Need to offer USPostal Service as another shipper, they offer ground, priority and express mail, at cheaper rates and to all locations. They also insure cheaper.

I was unable to find a replacement battery for my older thinkpad at any other vendor including Lenovo.com. A Google search for "Thinkpad Batteries" included Laptops for Less. I went to their website and found exactly what I was looking for! My order was shipped promptly and arrived in Texas in four days. The price was quite reasonable too. I am very satisfied with Laptops for Less.

I made the order on June 24th at 6:00 am Indaina time and paid more for 2 day air so that it would get here in 2 days. On the 3rd day when it still was not here I called to find out why and all she would tell me is that she would have to get the tracking info from their purchasing departmaent and call me back to let me know where it was. She told me she would call me by a 2:00pm my time and so when that did not happen I called back and talk to some one else that told me the same thing and said one of them would call me back that day to let me know where my package that I had already paid for was and when it would be getting to me. I NEVER got a call and the finally got here on June 30th 6 days later so I would say never PAY to get it to you sooner because you will not get it.

A little over two years ago I bought three replacement batteries for a Zen Micro MP3 player. While the original battery that came with the player is still going strong, all three batteries from Laptops for Less have failed. The vendor says they cannot do anything since the batteries are outside the 1-year warranty. I would understand their position if I experienced an isolated failure, but since all three failed (and the original battery from Creative is still good), I have to conclude that the batteries I bought from them are defective or poor quality. Since they offer no remedies, I assume that they consider this acceptable performance for their batteries. I will not order from them again because I have no reason to believe any products I might buy from them would be of any better quality.

I ordered power supply for my notebook. They charged my credit card right away. Next day they sent me shipping confirmation with Fedex tracking number. After a week that number was still pending on Fedex WEB site. I sent them 2 e-mails - there were no response.
I called them - they said that package will be delivered next day. Another week passed - no package. After 3 weeks they refunded me and didn't notify me about this.

Do not waste your money with LaptopsForLess!! They would not replace an obviously defective RPTV lamp (it violently shattered inside my TV) about one month after the 90 day warranty expired. I was trying to save a few bucks, and I got scammed instead!! I have learned that the reputable RPTV lamp retailers offer a 6 month or 1 year warranty because this is so common. If you don't get a normal warranty, then you ARE going to end up paying double in the end because these lamps run extremely hot. LaptopsForLess knows this and they're selling to suckers (like me) who don't know any better. Customer service was horrible as well because they took forever and were rude even though I was trying to be polite. They're just looking to milk money from people who are bargain shopping. I hope this review helps other people avoid becoming a victim of this company!

I will be much more careful regarding any discount offers, I was tricked into a discount membership. One has to be very careful and just "say no" to any discounted offers, other wise you get a charge you were expecting to get.

I was able to find the item pretty easily and appreciated having overnight shipping available as my old one was shooting off sparks and unsafe for use. My only complaint is that the new AC Adaptor has a jack that fits the computer but does not fit snugly, so it's falling out all the time. But the main thing is I can run the computer off AC and charge the battery, I'll probably rig up some kind of clip to hold the jack in place.
