Lane Bryant

I just decided to do some holiday shopping at Lane Bryant and can't. I'm Canadian and they've changed their site to disallow international orders. I was going to use roughly $40 dollars in gift cards left over from my birthday to top up my order. I can't. Unless I spend hundreds of dollars to fly or drive to America, I cannot spend the giftcards ( the gift of choice for plus size women for obvioius reasons) that my friends and relatives bought for me in good faith. There is no redemption process whatsoever. We are just expected to suck it up. As if I'm going to fit the stereotype of the meek and depressed fat girl and do nothing more than cry in my cake! I'm still after them to reimbuse my $40 on principal. For American shoppers, consider this a warning: Use your giftcards and cancel your credit cards now because they will cheat you if they think they can get away with it!

The merchandise I ordered was the wrong size. It was gift to someone. When they went to return it at the local store, They would not order an even exchange. Because they did not have a receipt they were getting less than half back. I did not have the shipping receipt so it was a total lost. I will not order from the catalog again.

1. order was not delivered on time. As I had to leave the country, I was forced to cancel the order. 2. the web store quoted "available on the web only". When I walked into the store at KoP mall, they had the same items - on sale. How credible is this?

I placed three orders with Online merchants the same day, This shipment arrived 4 days leter than the others. This was a very small order.

I was unable to find the appropriate size bra in black elsewhere. The size I purchased was 44B. I really need a 46B, but that did not appear to be available through Lane Bryant.

My shopping experience was good overall. I don't like the exchange policy. One of the dresses doesn't quite fit but the exchange policy requires me to purchase a new one online and return the old one, but I would lose the great sale price. Also, I noticed today that the dress is no longer available. I find that availablility of items or sizes changes too frequently.

I am still waiting for my shipment. This is the 2nd or 3rd time that the shipping has delayed the product. I have received a postcard telling me of the delay and it will be almost a month before I receive it. I emailed customer service and have yet to receive a reply. Although I like some of the products and have not really had problems in the past (except for the shipping issue) I can say that I am disappointed in the company at the moment. I am not sure whether or not I will purchase online anymore but possilby will continue to shop in the stores.
