It's been a while since I ordered from LBC, as they went thru some corporate split where the catalog business went to one group and the stores to another. My last order was so junky and ill-made that I ceased doing business with them. Over the last few years I noticed some mergers with other large size apparel stores, including some I was happy with, so I decided to give them a try again.
Like many other reviewers I order online. My last order is a mess. For some reason, it wouldn't take my credit card (which I promptly used to spend $100 at a competitor, so I know it wasn't my credit.) So, I printed out the order as far as I got, with the discount codes applied and sent that in with a check.
They cashed my check over two weeks ago - I can see through the internet at my bank. I sent an email and they replied I owed them more $$ for shipping. I replied with the above details, and some robot responded with "you owe us shipping"!
Now they are ignoring my emails and calls. Looks like I will have to contact the AG of their state to get my merchandise.
I plan to stick with Silhouettes from now on.
UPDATE: A few days after writing this, I got yet another delaying email response demanding I now produce the free shipping code (we are going on a month now). I forgot to mention previously another scam they run. Any refunds are on the shipping label as a credit - you have to ask for a refund check.
Here was my response:
"Thank you for taking the time to contact us"? Like I have a choice, since you have had my cash for over two weeks.
Enough stalling. Cancel the bras, send the slips, and refund me the remainder - in a CASHABLE CHECK, not a coupon or credit slip.
Then take my name off your mailing list and don't send me any more catalogs.
