Buyer BEWARE!  landsend will call you if you return too many items onthe pretext of inquiring if you need any assistance with sizing, etc?  i received a second call from them on my cell phone (the last time it was at home after 7pm!!) regarding my 70% rate of return for the last 15 months!  Hello!!! Landends is a mail order company - don't they expect lots of returns for incorrect sizing?!!  For example, i returned 3 traditional fit shirts and they made me feel bad about it!  If they had looked carefully, they would have noticed that i ordered 7 tailored fit shirts as a replacement....and yes, sizing and quality has definitely gone downhill...children's sizes are inconsistent, shoe sizing as well, zippers get stuck...customer service needs to reward us for our patronage - not make us feel bad in a "big brother is watching" manner...for your information, i had a baby last year and if I return items that don't fit, that's none of your business...no questions asked is a fraud....

Both Sears and Lands End are now SPAMMERS. I don't mean they are sending unwanted e-mail to just THEIR customers. NO, they are now sending MASS e-mailings using purchased list (which happened to included several of my "spamtrap" mailboxes). Anyone can be on these list. This now puts Sears/Lands End on par with mail-scammers, website spoofers/identity thieves, porn dealers, fake drug sellers, etc.

This is all very sad as both my wife and I WERE long time customers. NEVER AGAIN ... how a once mighty name in retail has fallen so low is incredible ...

Lands End was one of my favorite stores for years. I was a catalog customer before the internet existed. However, since being purchased by Sears, Lands End has been going down hill. The Hyde Park Oxfords that I loved in the 1980s & 1990s are now thin, low-quality shirts that I would expect to find at Wal-Mart. I recently purchased deep charcoal dress slacks from their "suit separates" section. When I went back only a few weeks later to buy the coat to complete the suit, the deep charcoal no longer existed. No warning or anything. Now I have one-half of the suit. The cotton sweaters I purchased for years are now of horrible quality. The elastic in the waist band is useless after two washings. I had shopped there for years & really counted on Lands End for clothes. I am now trying LL Bean & other places to try to replace Lands End.

Their stuff is generally good, and they are good about refunds. However, deselect any options that can be found to receive email advertising, and they send it anyway. Unsubscribe from these mailings and they send it anyway. Raise a fuss with Lands End, its agent Responsys, and its host Savvis, and they will temporarily stop the mailings before resuming them.

I love shopping Lands End online. I've had such great luck with their clothes and still wear stuff that I purchased over 10 years ago. I find their site easy to navigate and the pictures are easy to see. They ship super fast and if there's every any problem, I can either return the item by mail or even return it to my closest Sears store. I've also had occasion to send things back to them for repair and their guarantee is one of the best in the industry - they'll repair or replace anything - guaranteed. We sent back a piece of luggage that my DH uses to carry tools to and from the boat (so it gets beat up badly) - the zipper had broken - and they sent us back what looked like a new bag - but it was our own! They put in new ties for the inside, a new zipper and even cleaned it up for us! I am a loyal customer and will always buy from them.

I have been shopping with Land's End for many years now and I absolutely love the quality and customer service they offer.

My favorite dept. on their web site is "overstocks".
I have ordered many items from there, tees from $5.99, kids' tees for $3.99, etc.

But the quality is excellent and their customer service has always proven to be courteous and helpful.

I do not think you can get any better customer service than Land's End. I am awed by their supreme customer service. Any time I have called to inquire about a product or order, there has always been a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful person on the other end. They also have online customer service chat that is quick and easy to use. I feel like I am being treated as if I were their best customer. That is part of what keeps me coming back time and time again.

The clothing is very good quality as well. The clothing I buy my child outlasts her growth! I do most of my shopping online and I have yet to find a better store to shop or ship from. Each time I order, there is an email sent to me every step of the way from confirmation to shipping to delivery. Shipping rates are fair and lower than some other stores online plus you get your things in about 3 days!

In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with this company. If I could give it 6 stars, I would.

I am a fan of Land's End outerwear and when they came out with a custom size fleece I jumped at the chance. They obviously have not figured out this process yet and I am still waiting and now waiting for a return phone call since only TWO people in all of Land's End handles custom orders.

Well I needed a bathing suit for a cruise that I am going on in October. Living in NY and it being September, no one has anything left. So, I had to go online. I would up at Lands End because I know of their quality of clothing and customer service. This, however, would be my first time purchasing from them. I was immediately surprised at all of the options for swimwear. You can choose by body type, swimsuit type, or even anxiety zone! I needed a special swimsuit as I am, er... top heavy. Every bathing suit I have ever owned made me look like I was about to shoot an adult film. Lands End had swimsuits that would fit me...or so they said. Anyway, I decided to take a chance and order. THREE days later, my order arrived and fit perfectly!

I purchased the belly bunny sleepers from Land's End for my infant son. They were AWESOME!!!!! The zipper zips to the side, so it doesn't rub my son's neck. The bunny sleeper also kept my son toasty, as he never keeps his covers on at night.They also held up through tons of washing. We wore them so much, we eventually wore them out. But they were great while we had them. I will order them again for this winter season (as it is very cold here in Wisconsin). I am from Arkansas and we never needed anything quite as warm as the bunny sleepers, but I definitely need them here in WI. Thanks tons Land's End, for a quality product at a reasonable price.

I'm a repeat customer at Lands' End. They have great basics and recently began a more stylish line of professional and casual wear. The suits are out of my budget at $80-100 for pants and over $150 for jackets, but the casual wear is a staple for my whole family. I love that they have large and x-large petite sizes and free hemming on many styles of pants. Great resale value on ebay, too, especially in kid's clothes. I sold a pair of mittens purchased on sale for $8 for $7.00.

You can return merchandise at Sears, too, so no worry about expensive return shipping.

After a lot of searching I was finally able to find a Harris Tweed sport coat I really liked at Lands End which was "Made in USA", according to the website - something important to me. Unfortunately, when it arrived it was clearly tagged "Made in Mexico". They did, however, pay return shipping.

When I get something made of a high-quality fabric such as Harris Tweed, I would simply prefer it was made in the US, UK, etc.

I also liked a Harris Tweed flat cap (ivy cap) listed as made in USA and imported (I hoped the fabric was imported and the cap made in USA). Not so! The lining fabric was made in USA, the Harris Tweed from the UK, and all of it was sent to Sri Lanka for assembly.

I have a very high opinion of this store. They have high quality merchandise, in fact, I have had a pair of knit navy blue pants that I ordered 4 years ago have not faded yet!!! The order I placed recently was in the overstock section of their website. I ordered some things for my toddler for next year, and I wasn't sure which size to order, so I clicked on chat with a customer service agent, and asked their opinion. They were very helpful. As for the order, only 1 thing was on backorder. It came very quickly, even though I chose to have it sent via regular mail. I ordered it at the beginning of the week and I had it at the end of the week. The order was correct. The one thing on backorder came very promptly, within the next week. You can use your sears card to order from them. I also like their catalog because usually they have these nice feature stories that are very enjoyable to read. I would tell a friend to order from them, especially baby items, because they last long enough to go through more than 1 child.

The Land's End catalogs are delightfully written with stories and tidbits of information interspersed with large color images and detailed descriptions of products. Its one of the few catalogs that I feel assured of what I am purchasing. The clothing is well made. I am a big fan of their outwear, which is reasonably priced and functional. The sizes tend to run a little large, so read the sizing chart carefully.

Both the online and catalog orders are easy to perform and the order is shipped out promptly. When some merchandise turned out to be on backorder, they shipped the available items and then the backordered things as they became available at no extra charge.
Overall, I am happy with this merchant and would not hesitate to order from them again
