Many years ago I read about a towel test done by "Good Housekeeping" that cited Lands End as having especially absorbent towels, which I like. I'd tried unknown brands and some made by Ralph Lauren but decided next time we needed towels, I'd look into Lands End.
After renovating our bathrooms and needing unusual colors, I went to the Lands End website and was delighted to find it was easy scrolling through, they had a nice variety of prices and quality, depending on how thick you like your towels. Additionally, they have a good selection of colors so the strange ones I now wanted, a pale yellow called "Buttercup" and a French blue looked promising. But, best of all, this company sends color samples so you can order without worrying that you may not get the color you're anticipating.
The towels turned out to be attractive, thirsty and truly absorbent as well as soft. Prices seemed fair and though you couldn't take advantage of a sale, I was pleased with everything I got, bath towels as well as hand towels. I went for the extra absorbent and am pleased I did. They're nice to dry off with after a bath and feel luxurious.
The website is user-friendly, nicely organized, easy to work with. Searching is simple. I recently got some bedding samples from them as they have colors that may be otherwise hard to find. The samples arrive quickly and give you the assurance of seeing and feeling. Choosing the samples is also simple, a click on a box.
I've enjoyed shopping online, appreciating the ease and not having to drag around the city. Delivery is quick, and things are well packed. I enjoy buying large items online as I don't have to worry about getting bulky items back home with me.
Notable is they sent the wrong size and color but one call to Lands End assured me they'd take it back and would cover the cost of the return. All I had to do was fill out a form that had accompanied by order and bring the box to the post office with their label.
I haven't ordered clothing but I'd have no fear about doing that as I'm sure the process is every bit as satisfying and trustworthy as buying products for the home.
