Being a frequent customer to the cosmetics counter at many department stores to buy my Lancome products, I decided to forgo the busy parking lot and holiday crowds and try out Lancome.com.

Lancome is middle to high end beauty and skin care company that caters to women. From lipsticks and foundation to anti-aging formulas and makeup remover, Lancome offers a soup to nuts menu of womens products. They use the latest fad ingredients and complement them with the tried and true formulas to create their most popular products. I find using Lancome skin care items very rewarding mostly because of the soft and sensual textures and smells that is their signature. Although there is not an exclusive store that sells Lancome, they are available at most major department stores and now also on the exclusively Lancome, Lancome.com.

I got a great first impression upon my first visit, as the soft Lancome images quickly loaded on my screen and I was presented with easy to navigate menus along with their current specials on the homepage. I was amazed that I could still get my free gifts without a trip to the store! By utilizing their search function, I quickly found my two items (priced the same as in store) and loaded up my virtual shopping cart. I decided to linger a little longer to see what else they had to offer. I used their Personal Consultation feature which was interesting but really didn't sell me on the products they suggested. I guess if I didn't already have my old favorites I would have valued their suggestions as much as I once did the Lancome store representatives advice.

Before I checked out, the site asked if I would like to join their frequent buyer program which entitles customers to free shipping on orders over $50, free email mailings, and the ability to select your choice of free samples with every purchase. I signed up, picked my free sample and checked out. My order arrived in a sweet smelling box in only a couple days and even included extra samples!

I have since used their website many times and have never had a experience with them that wasn't better than I expected. I have also received a package from them containing a sample of a new product without having to place an order.

I would highly recommend that anyone who currently uses or wants to try out Lancome products makes a visit to their website. It really can be as rewarding as going to the department store counter!
