Purchase was a gift to a daughter and shipped to her address. We were required to phone and confirm billing and shipping addresses since they were different. A little bit of a pain, but I commend the merchant for its caution and feel very secure shopping with Lamps Plus. There are times when some items are shipped free - I'd be happier if it were every time. Prices are reasonable and the selection is good.

Shipped wrong item. It took several weeks (!!) to return wrong item and order correct item. But I haven't received it yet. Its been 30 days.
Merchant does not appear to have good control of their suppliers nor their inventory. Catalog descriptions do not match items shipped. I had to e-mail photos of the item I received to help them understand the discrepancy.
Merchant creates a UPS shipping notice when the order is received creating the impression in the eye of a casual observer of rapid order response. But shipping notice does not mean physical shipment which was weeks later.
I suppose being able to track the non shipment is better than nothing.

I was disappointed as to the red hue on the base as this was supposed to be oak and looks like redwood. I'm still trying to adjust the shade to sit straight which is difficult since it sets on a flat metal piece. Customer service stunk.. they were quick to contact me following my e-mail but failed to return my two phone calls so my issue was not resolved. This companies web site is great, it is definatly easy to use, the lamp arrived quickly, easy for me to track and was beautifully packed. However, I doubt if I will order from them again.

After having a great experience with them in the past, I was very disappointed by this one. I ordered one fixture and then never got a notice saying it was shipped and a couple of weeks later, I was notified it was back ordered for another 6 weeks. I canceled that order (a process which they made very easy), and ordered a different fixture.
Again, I didn't hear anything for some time, and it took weeks to arrive. Customer service, however, did call me to let me know when it was expected. The fixture finally arrived, but I haven't installed it yet. It is beautiful and appears to be in good condition. Truly, I don't know if I would order from them again or not. The merchandise if very good, but the shipping delays are a problem.

Ordering the fixtures was very simple as was the authorization to return (the fixtures would not work in the areas we ordered them for) and the return to the store was handled easily. We purchased a chandelier when we returned the fixtures & are likely to purchase different fixtures from Lamps Plus in the next few weeks.

I received two defective lamps the first shipment. I sent them back and received one defective lamp the second time. I returned this lamp and received another defective lamp the third time. The fourth shipment was finally okay. One of the replacement lamps was obviously a return that was defective. I was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service reps. I talked to four different ones and they all told me different stories as to Lamps Plus's return policy. Half of them couldn't even tell me if a replacement shipment had occurred. Your store is great if the first shipment arrives in good condition but if it is defective, it is a nightmare to get a replacement part.

There were many lamps to choose from at Lamps Plus. It took quite a while to find the one I liked (simply because the selection was so vast), but I'm pleased with my selection and with how well it was described on the Web site. I would recommend shipping there, and may do so again myself.

Excellent on-line service, with one exception: I have already corresponded by e-mail with the web staff regarding a delay in updating the website information that resulted in my making a futile trip to a Lamps Plus branch that had been closed for weeks. (Web staff have promised a prompt correction of the data and resolution of the background problem.) Otherwise, excellent service all around.
