Easy website to navigate and the products are well represented. I liked the first set of lamps that I got and came back for more! (that should say alot!)

While I like their selection and their sale prices, their regular prices are a bit high, and, although shipping was free, order tracking is nearly impossible. This is my second order with this company. The first was for a pair of table lamps which arrived in good time but their order confirmation email states that they will send a second email within a few days to confirm the order has shipped and will supply a tracking number. The only way I received this information was by emailing customer service and inquiring as to where my order was and they finally sent me the information. With this more recent order I have waited over a week to receive a second email regarding my order status and, once again, had to resort to emailing cust. serv. only to be told that my email will be forwarded to another dep't. so they can get back to me, which they have not. The website is poorly designed in that simply passing the mouse over a part of the screen can inadvertently direct you to a submenu you didn't select and they really ought to have an order status link that would allow a customer to type in a username and password and be able to discover the status of their order anytime they wish. At least then I could know if my order actually has been placed, might be shipped, and is ever going to arrive. While I will browse again for products because I like the selection, I'm somewhat hesitant to attempt to order again since I don't like not knowing if and when my order will arrive. If they improve the problems I mentioned above, I would feel secure enough to order again.

The lamp was incomplete. A shade was not provided or suggested. Buying the shade added $30 to the price making the lamp a bit expensive considering the quality was only average for a lamp.

The bulbs shipped with the lamp arrived broken and the extra bulbs were clear while the broken bulbs were frosted. I notified customer service who indicated the my correspondence was being forwarded and I would be notified when or how the broken parts would be replaced. That was over two weeks ago and I have received no further communication. Poor customer service.

It's very hard to find lamp shades online. Why? First, you need to know the type of the TOP of the shade: spider, clip on or Uno. Then the web page must specify the top & bottom diameter, and the height. Lamps Plus had all of the information I needed to determine if their shade would work. I was very happy with the merchandise and their service and recommend them.

I could not find the shade I needed in the Washington, DC metro area because I had unusual size requirements. I found it easily and quickly at Lamps Plus on the Internet, ordered it in minutes and received it in a few days. It was very, very well packed and arrived in good shape. I will gladly use them again when I have a need.

The customer service tried to be very helpful, yet both lamps received were not the colors portrayed on the internet images. The service rep said the second lamp really looked like the photo (agreeing that the first lamp I had ordered did not really look like the one in the photo), but she was wrong. It showed up looking just as purple and green as the first one, even though the photos represented lamps of a more amber persuasion. I also noticed that the trim was molded plastic made to look like metal. That bummed me a bit, too.

we returned 1 lamp of the 15 or so that we purchased. we did this with a prepaid shipping label and mailed it backaround 6/27/04. as of today 7/11/04 we have not heard anything about the returned item.other than that , it has been a good experience.

Lamps Plus has a great selection, fair prices, and courteous customer service. The shipping time was average, while the shipping prices seemed just a little high. At any rate, I would definitely use this website again to purchase lamp shades or other accessories.

I was looking for a brass lamp that was 25 inches tall. Lamps Plus was the only place I could find one. It is a very nice lamp and I am pleased.

It was even more convenient to shop online than instore, although both offer a wide range of inventory. The site was easy to navigate, with several options to streamline the search for exactly what I wanted (e.g., by type, by price range, by style, etc.). Especially helpful were the zoom features, as well as the additional settings in which to view the lamps and the suggestions for accessories, such as dimmers. Regular prices are competitive, but their sales are largely unbeatable, especially the clearance sections, which are surprisingly (pleasantly so) sizable. Shipping was faster than anticipated, with packing handled expertly. Everything arrived in excellent condition and appeared as I'd expected (as opposed to a similar, but not as appealing rendition, such as commonly occurs with less reputable sites). Overall, my shopping experience was nothing short of outstanding, this time and every time I've shopped at this site (i.e., once is good, but repeatedly is outstanding).
