Pros: great selection, some nice prices
Cons: a lot of stuff is at full retail price
Bottom line: Its a great source for Legos!
I really love playing with Legos, expecially the little people figures (mini-figs, in Lego talk). They are just so incredibly cute. My favorite was the wizard from several years ago, Majisto. I like the dungeons and dragons figs and also some of the licensed figs from
Star Wars and
Batman.
I had seen a really intriguing chess set on Ebay, but thought it a little pricey. So, I surfed around to see where the best price was for the item. I was pleased to find out that Lego.com was showing the Castle Chess Set I wanted for $10 under the retail price.
So, I checked out the site. The site was very well laid out, with sections for products, ordered by theme, online games, and a shop icon, with clickable links for most popular items, newest items and sale items. You can also click for items by age and catalog. They seem to have stock on all their items in current release.
I searched for wizard and found a cute new Good Wizard set which, unfortunately, was not available for delivery in the US. I also located a really cute half-price Lego keyring, the
Joker, from the
Batman series.
So, I added them to the cart and got ready to check out. Checkout was easy with my credit card, and I was not required to establish an account. The minimum shipping charge is $4.96. The charges slide based on total order. Mine was under $50, so I paid $6.95. I was also charged sales tax, as Lego does have stores in Illinois.
I placed the order on Sunday, January 6, it shipped DHL ground on January 8 and I received it on January 10.
So, I got great Legos right away and did get good prices on what I bought.
If theres one con, its that most of the items are being sold at full retail price. I tend not to like that. In this case, I was able to get what I wanted at sale prices.
4 stars, because of the premium pricing
Thanks for reading. God bless!
