L.L.Bean

My husband was in need of some new jeans so I figured I'd try L.L. Bean. I was trying to figure out why I hadn't ordered from them in a while. I'll tell you later on. So I ordered 2 pairs of jeans and 4 shirts. The total before shipping was $121.90. Then there's the shipping: $9.00!

I guess it wouldn't bother me so much if they had a better return policy. If you have to return something in your order, whether it be wrong size, wrong color,etc, your refund will be less $5.85 if you use their return label. That's why I don't like to order from them as much anymore. The only reason I ordered from them this time was because we know the quality of their clothing and we really like it but the return policy just makes me weary of becoming a frequent customer of theirs.

I placed my order 1/2/05, got the email confirmation 1/5/05, and received my order 1/7/05. I thought it was a little slow for them but we weren't in any hurry. The quality of their clothing is excellent but it's just not as convenient as Lands End.

Products are good to excellent. If you need a "tall" however,
L.L. Bean is not the place to go. For their XLT range sleeve lengths are much too short while the body of the shirts are okay. Otherwise clothing quality is quite good. Service is okay, you pay for returns.

Well, lets just say that LLBean is the greatest online store and absolutly most trusted. The products are great and almost always on time. I deffintly reccomend this store as an online market.

I didn't get the expected wear from some of Bean's clothes and they told me that they'll be the judge of whether or not I was satisfied. If you want better clothes at a better price from a company that honors their guaranty try shopping "sportsmansguide.com".

I am incredibly disappointed with the service I received after a recent online purchase. I have long heard of L.L. Bean's excellent customer care and expected the experience to be wonderful - it was anything but. I ordered a blazer on a Friday and requested 2nd day air, and had two major problems. The first - my credit card was billed $8 more than the receipt given to me after "checking out." The second - my shipment did not arrive until Wednesday. I spent a lot of time both tracking my package and attempting to receive a refund for the overcharge. A customer service rep I contacted by phone was able to correct the billing mistake, but over the course of four days of phone calls I was given conflicting accounts about the status of my order. Perhaps most frustrating - I emailed a written complaint via the company's site but never heard back.

Fine online store. Though it would be nice to see more than 3% AMERICAN MADE products sold. Noticed only 1) Dog Bed 2) a canvas tote bag and 3) a Throw were made in the USA. Everything else imported, and you can bet your paycheck it's not from Europe.
