I have shopped online at kohls.com before, but it has been a while. But, I had a friend that was getting married, and she was registered at Kohl’s, so I figured I’d log on to their website at www.kohls.com and check out her registry.

So, when I hit the homepage, there are clickable categories across the top horizontally:

Women’s
Juniors
Men’s/young men’s
Kids’
Special sizes
Shoes
Kitchen and dining
Homestore
Jewelry
Beauty
Clearance

Also horizontally across the top, you will see the categories of bridal registry, swim shop, gift cards, and today’s ad. There is also a search feature where you can just type in what you need. The site is very cute and approachable, and I found everything on there was well represented picture wise. They have a wide variety of clothes, cookware, towels, kitchen whatnots, shoes, and swimsuits. A while back I bought myself several tops and skirts, and their kids’ selection is great as well.

Anyway, since I was looking for a bridal registry, I just clicked on that category and then was taken to a page where I entered the bride’s name (or you can do the groom’s) and entered the date and state where the event was happening. I hit enter and then the registry came up, and I made sure it was the right one and then I clicked on it and was taken to their registry page.

There, it showed me all their items on their registry, the price, how many they wanted, and if it had been fulfilled or not. I found something they were registered for that they had not gotten, and ordered it, and had it sent straight to them with no extra fee. I decided to do that because the likelihood of me seeing her before the wedding was slim to none, so I wanted her to go ahead and have the gift. I also got gift wrapping for an additional $5.95, and I got to include a personal message, which I thought was nice.

After I got everything picked out and the message on the card picked, I checked out, and had the gift sent to them, and the bill sent to me. I got an email letting me know they got my order, and when it should arrive to them, which was about a week later.



Shipping:

Standard shipping takes 7-10 days, and starts at $6.95. Of course, if you need it in a hurry, you have the option of faster shipping options at higher costs.

Experience:

That was the easiest gift giving ever- I did not have to go anywhere, stand in line, wrap the present, take it to them- all I had to do was click my mouse. The gift itself was really reasonably priced, and I did not think the gift wrapping was all that expensive- I myself have given $3 for a roll of wrapping paper! It was awesome- I told my husband everything gift wise ought to be that easy. I would not hesitate to shop at Kohl’s again- in fact I should since their kids’ clothes selection is so great- even though we have a store 30 miles away, for me it’s so much easier to get online.

I would recommend this store to anyone, they have a great selection, and they make gift giving a breeze! No complaints here!
