When I was looking for furnishings for my new home, I wanted to coordinate both of the bathrooms in my house. Since my master bath - with the Jacuzzi tub - was going to be my “oasis” during the cold winter, I wanted a tropical theme. My main bath - the one my kids would use - I wanted to be fun for them without being too juvenile.

I shopped locally at the mall and other stores near our house in New York. This included a Kohls brick-and-mortar store. Every time I came up with a pattern or theme I liked in the stores, I couldn’t find a complete set of the items I needed in stock at the stores.

I began to shop online. I’d never used the Kohls Online Store before, but their name came up from Google after searching for “shower curtains”.

Since Kohls is sort of a department store, it carries a wide variety of merchandise. The main page of the Kohls Online Store highlights what’s currently on sale but also provides a search engine for the site, quick access to their bridal registry, a tool bar for shopping through a variety of categories, access to a Kohls charge accounts, and a customer service section with access to an online account and the ability to track an order.

Kohls Online Store carries a variety of items for the home as well as men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, luggage, and toys. Gift cards are also available and can be purchased or used online.

I shopped through the bath section and found the perfect theme for each bathroom. The search engine works great and I could find everything I wanted with ease. Ordering was easy as the items were added to my cart. Shipping is free when ordering over $75 in merchandise, so it’s worth it if you can make sure your order totals at least that amount. I was well over that. Standard shipping on gift card orders is complimentary no matter what the amount of the gift card.

I also did some Christmas shopping recently at the site and found it was a great place to order from without having the bother of going to a store locally, having to wrap things up and package them before taking it to the post office for shipping. Christmas shopping on Kohls Online Store was great. On my account I listed a few addresses I wanted things sent to. As I shopped and added items to my cart, I just chose which address to have the items shipped to.

When checking out, I can choose whether pr not to register and set up an account. I did, since there’s no Kohls brick-and-mortar store anywhere near our new home and I do like to shop there. Gift cards and coupon codes can be applied to the order prior to inputting credit card information. Kohls Online Store takes Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, or the Kohls credit card.

Tracking shipments is great. I tracked the items for my bathroom before they arrived at my house, and tracking the Christmas deliveries I have planned has been great as well. It’s really handy to be able to tell exactly when all of the packages are delivered. My items arrived for my bathroom very quickly and I had them up in my new bathroom prior to moving into my house.

I’ll be using Kohls Online Store a lot more in the future. It’s less of a hassle to shop online - I know right away whether or not the items are available through the website. There’s no questions about availability - when I go to put an item in my cart, if it’s not available the site immediately indicates it. The quality of the items is good and they feature name-brand clothing, small appliances, toys and other items. I have confidence in my orders. Overall, the place is very consumer-friendly and a real pleasure to shop online at.
