The Bottom Line:  In summary, JC Whitney online is not yet as easy or detailed as their print catalogs, but overall, they are a very good company to deal with.

I have received the JC Whitney catalog in the mail for over ten years. I was excited to find them online. Unfortunately, the online version does not have all the items that appear in the print version.

Most of the accessory items are listed, but the vehicle specific mechanical components are often missing. For instance, the print catalog had a sale on chrome valve covers for my specific car, but I could not find them online. I even had the JC Whitney part number (item number) but is was not on the site at all. Not at the sale price or the regular price. Another example, is that I can not find convertible tops online, yet the print catalog has a large section for convertible tops.

Overall, I have always been pleased with the items I have ordered from JC Whitney. Quality has been very good and their customer service has always been superior in my experience. I would not hesitate to order from this company.

HINTS: Often catalog specials only appear in the printed version which can be ordered online. Current online promotion provides for free shipping on orders over $200.00 which can be a HUGE savings if you are ordering a heavy or bulky item. Order the print catalog, compare the print specials and promotions to those you find online, then order by phone or by internet, depending on which way get you the best deal!

JC Whitney also has one of the largest selections of RV, Volkswagon and Sport Utility accessories. If you have one of these vehicles, order the paper catalog and you will be surprised at the number of items available for these vehicles.
