I was thrilled when I found out J. Crew was carrying bridal wear.  I had all of my bridesmaids order their dresses through the website.  The dresses were beautiful and shipping was prompt.  One of my bridesmaids tried to order when they were out of stock in her size, so they actually gave her 20% off and free expedited shipping - even though the event was months away!  Amazing service.

Jcrew is always a pleasure to do business with. The quality of their merchandise is far superior to that of many of its competitors. They use Loro Piana as their producer of their cashmere sweaters which is one of the top cashmere makers in the world. Other items such as their tank tops are so awesome. They are so much softer than my tanks from places such as target, gap, etc. I guess what makes them better is the type of cotton and the fact that they are long!!!!
As for their customer service online I think it is great. I order very frequently from them and I do not have too many problems. Occassionaly they do run out of stock, but that is to be expected at any store. I would suggest that if you find a very one of a kind item that you cannot live without, you should buy it because they will run out. Like most stores they have a limited supply.
So if you want good quality items that will last the test of time in your closet try Jcrew.

I ordered a winter coat online (needed a tall, only available online). I missed UPS . . instead of holding it for me to pick up, they sent it back to JCrew at their request. From there, JCrew sent it to CA (I am in MI)to an address I had while in grad school 4 years ago. I contacted customer service 5 times in 4 days to straighten this out. They did NOTHING and told me they were going to do nothing. Their stock line was "sorry for your frustration". Oh, and this entire time my credit card had already been charged for the coat. I worked with UPS to get it straightened out since JCrew would do nothing. It was over 6 weeks before I had my coat in hand. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will never do business with JCrew again.

It was pretty easy to find items I wanted online, and I like the way they display their clothing. I also like that the sale items are great, and the sale selection is a lot better than in the store. But I did order a pair of pants and they were a bit ill-fitting. I should have purchased them in the store, so I could try them on. I have to admit the selection online is a lot better than in the store.

The rest of the items I purchased were great, and I have shopped online at J.Crew several times.

I love buying from J. Crew. My order was shipped fast and always accurate. The use of the website was very easy. I like how they show what sizes are available, and give dates of when it will be available.

The frustration comes with spending time on-line, searching, selecting, filling in the fields only to find that they are out of the product or it is on back-order. I think this company needs to do a better job with inventory.

I also have found their cashmere to be inferior and very static, which you never find with good quality cashmere.

I recently went shopping on the J.Crew website to find some shorts. The website was easy to navigate. I was able to find the shorts section easily and I found some very cute khaki shorts. I also bought a swimsuit and a t-shirt. Both items were on sale and the shipping costs were very reasonable. My order came in four days and was exactly what I had ordered. I didn't return anything because I was so satisfied with my order. If I wanted to return anything, they sent a prepaid packing slip to send the clothes back with. I am very satisfied with my shopping experience at the J.Crew online store and frequently return to the website to see if there's anything else I want!
